The Seaver Autism Center, Department of Psychiatry offers comprehensive assessment and care for people with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Our multidisciplinary team of experts uses genetics, molecular biology, model systems, neuroimaging, and experimental therapeutics to treat each patient. We also provide opportunities to participate in an integrated series of research studies aimed at understanding the causes of autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and developing treatments. We actively collaborate with members of the research community at Mount Sinai, as well as with various institutions and consortia throughout the U.S. and the world.

We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team as a postdoctoral fellow and contribute to the novel research being done in the Seaver Center and at Mount Sinai. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the supervision of Dr. Joseph Buxbaum and will be responsible for using developmental and molecular neuroscience methods applied to genetically engineered mouse models to understand the mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental disorders. The postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for experimental design, data collection, data analysis, and data interpretation. Research duties include data acquisition, analysis, and interpretation, publication in peer-reviewed journals, and presentation at national and international conferences.

POSITION SUMMARY: The lab of Dr. Romina Bevacqua, an early-career Principal Investigator in the Diabetes,Obesity and Metabolism Institute, is seeking a curious, motivated, Postdoctoral Fellow interested in performingtransformative research on human diabetes and pancreatic islet biology. The broader significance of the work in Bevacqua Lab is that diabetes affects over 400 million people worldwide and advancing our understanding of adult human islet functionality, will lead to development of novel approaches for the treatment of diabetic patients. Morespecifically, Bevacqua Lab is interested in studying: 1) the regulatory mechanisms driving human islet maturation: 2)the genetic basis for their dysregulation in disease: and, 3) the application of these findings towards &beta;-cellregeneration and replacement therapies. These approaches will include implementation of novel genetic approaches in vivo to reverse diabetes, and will open new possibilities for the treatment of patients with diabetes.

To address these topics, the lab uses cellular biology, including genetics on pseudoislet organoids derived from non-diving human islets, molecular biology, Next-gen sequencing (CUT&amp;RUN, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, Mi-seq), FACS of different islet cell populations, functional studies, islet transplantation approaches, and imaging.

Qualified candidates should be self-driven and independent, enthusiastic for team work, eager to work in afriendly environment, with a track record of success supported by first-author publications in related fields. The applicants should have a strong interest in basic and translational diabetes research.

The selected candidate for this full-time position will be expected to apply well-established protocols and develop novel ones to address basic or translational research questions in diverse areas of pancreatic islet cell biology,including diverse NGS technologies, CRISPR screenings and novel CRISPR -or similar- genetic approaches. This postdoctoral opportunity will enable training in development of cutting-edge experimental methods. Seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Ph.D. Program in Mathematics at the CUNY Graduate Center. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will work independently in any area of mathematics where large-scale computation, simulation, or data-driven methods play an essential role. The postdoc will have access to Empire AI and will be expected to utilize its substantial computational power in their research. The postdoc will be expected to design algorithms that scale efficiently on GPU clusters, manage distributed computation and storage, and develop analysis pipelines that connect the resulting data back to rigorous mathematics. We are interested in proposals that push the limits of current computational practice in their area &ndash; whether through very large simulations, massive combinatorial or statistical searches, or the use of large generative models guided by mathematical structures.
The postdoc will be supported by the rich intellectual environment at the CUNY Graduate Center which includes Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, and the Initiative for Theoretical Sciences and is expected to engage with the broader mathematics community to enhance their research and professional development. Responsibilities
Details of Research Project:
The postdoc will combine in-utero injection method and imaging approaches to study mechanism of mouse salivary gland and mammary gland formation, focusing on how branching morphology was formed. 
Technical Duties: (include any protocols)
In-utero injection, Confocal microscopy on both sectioned and whole-mount tissues, Sequencing library preparation, Standard molecular and cellular biology assays, Mouse genotyping. 
Qualifications
Educational and other Requirements for the position: PhD or equivalent in biology.

New York Genome Center

 The Sanjana Lab at the New York Genome Center and NYU's Department of Biology is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Research Assistant within a highly creative and dynamic research team of scientists, engineers, and life science entrepreneurs.Our team works on a diverse array of projects that span genomics, bioengineering, cancer biology and neuroscience. We focus on developing new genome engineering technologies to understand gene regulation, development, tumor biology and genetic drivers of disease. Recent work from the group has included in vivo and RNA-targeting CRISPR screens, pairing CRISPR perturbations with multiomic single-cell readouts, engineering T cell therapies and precise genome editors, and uncovering cis-regulatory elements in the human noncoding genome.We are seeking a motivated Research Assistant to contribute to ongoing projects in genome editing, functional genomics, and cell-based neurobiology, including perturbation-based single-cell approaches.
