Join our dedicated healthcare team as a One Saturday a Month Radiology Technician! San Jose Clinic offers a once a month clinic on the first Saturday of the month from 8 am - 12 pm. This vital role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services on a flexible, once-a-month schedule.Position Summary:Performs radiology procedures within the medical practice; cleans and maintains radiographic equipment and supplies and holds certification from the required certifying organization. Follows physicians&rsquo; orders precisely and conform to regulations concerning the use of radiation to protect themselves, their patients and co-workers from unnecessary exposure.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILILTIES:1. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures2. Follows established procedures for patient care and safety3. Able to use a variety of radiation protection and shielding material4. Maintains supplies and equipment in working order5. Reports equipment malfunctions to the supervisor and Radiation Safety Officer6. Cleans technical and auxiliary equipment to ensure quality and hygiene for infection control purposes7. Records images of optimal diagnostic quality by set standards and procedures while operating within the scope of license8. Performs procedures such as archiving, copying, sending images to the referring physician, and weekly back ups9. Properly positions patients for testing10. Logs radiologic procedures and processes routine paperwork11. Enters patient transcription and data base information12. Supervises and precept students and volunteers13. Delivery of medical/pharmacy care in accordance with the Catholic Moral and Ethical Directives14. Follows all HIPAA and OSHA guidelines and regulations, including assisting HIPAA and OSHA Officers in ensuring compliance15. Maintains confidentiality of patient information/records at all time16. Maintains established San Jos&eacute; Clinic policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control17. Minimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology
Licenses/Certifications:<ul><li>
Certificate in Basic or Advanced Life Support and Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required. In addition, one (1) of the following required:</li><li>
Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)</li><li>
If performing diagnostic CT, Registered CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT) is also required.</li></ul>
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:<ul><li>
Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients in conjunction with others in order to perform job functions.</li></ul>
Principal Accountabilities<ul><li>
Performs nuclear medicine exams on patients: Prepares patients for exam; explains procedure; prepares and administers radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment; detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patient bodies using imaging equipment; ensures technical quality of the images; collects, prepares and analyzes biologic specimens; prepares data for interpretation.</li><li>
Enters and monitors patient data.</li><li>
Performs quality assurance on imaging equipment. May assist with initial and renewal application for ACR and other accreditation.</li><li>
Identifies and reports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunction to department management.</li><li>
Takes emergency call within the department.
</li><li>Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.</li><li>

Primary Responsibilities:<ul><li>
The Per Diem CT Technologist is responsible for accurate and efficient imaging with little to no supervision, the ability to work quickly and efficiently and assist the Radiologist as needed</li></ul> 
You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
High School diploma or GED from an accredited program. Graduate from an approved Radiology Technology program</li><li>
ARRT (R) (CT) MRT- General Certificate CT registry within one year of hire. BCLS certification through American Heart Association</li><li>
Proven ability to use computer keyboard and grasp advanced elements of computed tomography</li><li>
Proven excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills</li></ul> 
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
1+ years of CT school</li><li>
1+ years of PACS and RIS experience Radiology Technologist experience</li><li>
Experience on a multi-slice scanner</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and/or Excel Venipuncture IV administration experience</li><li>
Bi-lingual or multi-lingual</li></ul> 
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $28.94 to $51.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
