Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. With an aging society, obesity and diabetes on the rise, and an uptick in surgical procedures, the number of patients with non-healing wounds that would benefit from expert care is dramatically increasing. Reporting to the Program Director, the Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider. This position is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chamber(s) and related support systems, as well as for the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the hyperbaric patient.
 
 
All Healogics employees must perform their job responsibilities according to all Healogics policies, Hospital policies, as well as to accrediting organizations, federal and state regulation, and to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines, as applicable.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Prepares, educates and orients patients about the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. This includes lifting or transferring patients per local policy, getting them ready for treatment administration and answering their questions.</li><li>
Administers the hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider to the patient. This includes monitoring and controlling the performance of the hyperbaric chamber equipment, as well as monitoring the patient(s)&rsquo;responses during the session and making proper adjustments to ensure the patient&rsquo;s safety and the safe and effective use of the equipment.</li><li>
Makes appropriate data entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits and keeps complete and accurate patient records as they pertain to treatment documentation, to include photo uploading.
</li><li>Operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support oxygen systems as required</li><li>
Assist in vein clinic as assigned after Healogics Vein Clinic training completed</li><li>
Participates in the safety program activities such as assisting with safety drills</li><li>
If CMA or LPN, may function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy</li><li>

Responsibilities: 
The Clinical Nursing Supervisor supports administrative responsibility for the department service functions and works collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager. In the absence of the unit Director and/or Manager, the Clinical Supervisor may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations. The Clinical Supervisor prepares, conducts and/or oversees department(s) orientation and training of personnel. Communicates with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. The Clinical Supervisor is responsibility and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during their shift. Assists the Department Director in the daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Ensure the efficient functions of the department. Performs direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
 
Qualifications: 
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
 
1. Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
 2. Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
 3. Current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
 4. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
 5. Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.
 
FACILITY / UNIT TRAINING
 
1. Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate preferred for Intensive Care.
 2. Non-OB Facilities – NRP Required 90 days after hire and maintained.
 3. Professional Certification within 2 years of hire, preferred.
