The TX Division Float Pool assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards set by the organization. The primary function of the Float Respiratory, RRT role is to be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques, nebulizer treatments, ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Every day you will apply your acute assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.
Individuals must be flexible to float to various departments and sites throughout the Texas Market which could include but not limited to scheduling day of staffing. Participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of a Clinical Leader.
Float Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT III B: Employees (at times w/in minimum of a 2 hour notice) will agree to float to any facility within the Texas division. Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
As a Respiratory Therapist, you&rsquo;ll play an essential role in guiding patients through both routine care and critical moments. You&rsquo;ll perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation across a variety of care settings. Your role will include:
<ul><li>Assessing respiratory status by performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, and determining the need for respiratory interventions.</li><li>
Delivering evidence-based therapy by providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.</li><li>
Managing ventilation and airways by assisting with artificial airway placement, initiating and adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitoring patient responses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.</li><li>
Supporting patients and the care team by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.</li><li>
Maintaining equipment and safety by setting up, operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.</li></ul>

<div><div>NJRA is looking to roll out PulmonaryLink, a respiratory therapy program designed to bring advanced pulmonary care into skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings. The program focuses on improving outcomes for patients with complex respiratory conditions&mdash;such as tracheostomies, chronic respiratory failure, and high-risk pulmonary disease&mdash;through proactive respiratory management and clinical oversight.</div>

<div>Our respiratory therapists work closely with our pulmonologist, nurse practitioners, and facility teams to provide pulmonary assessments, treatment planning, ventilator and airway management support, and early intervention strategies that reduce hospitalizations and improve patient stability.</div> 


Responsibilities:

Travel to multiple Nursing facilities to meet and assess paitients.</li><li>
Partner with pulmonologist to assist with diagnosis.</li><li>
Educate staff and patients on respiratory care protocols.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and guidelines.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.</li><li>
State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.</li><li>
Willingness to travel and work in different settings.</li><li>
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.</li></ul>

Physical and Emotional Demands: Good physical and emotional health. As the Respiratory Therapist may be required to stand or sit for long periods of time, lift and move patients, and work in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and home healthcare.

Exposure Risks: Normal work routine could involve exposure to blood and body fluids. Responsible for following OSHA guideline standard and the use of universal precautions.

Working Conditions: Hours indicated by the residents and community's needs. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.

If your assignment involves caring for individuals on life-support, where having a therapist in-house is required by law, you will need to make arrangements to come to work during inclement weather. These arrangements can be in coordination with NJRA, and may involve alternative modes of transportation, such as a taxi, or showing up to work earlier or staying at work later then your scheduled shift.
