Job Description 
Position Summary: The Senior Director of Marketing and Communications provides strategic leadership for all marketing, communications, branding, and public relations efforts of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York (ADNY), a mission driven nonprofit provider serving vulnerable individuals and families across the Archdiocese of New York. This role is responsible for elevating the organization&rsquo;s visibility, advancing its mission and values, supporting fundraising and service delivery goals, and ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms.
Grounded in Catholic values, the Senior Director will work closely with the CEO, development, programs, and external partners to communicate impact, inspire engagement, and strengthen the organization&rsquo;s reputation as a trusted provider, advocate and steward of donations. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 
Strategic Leadership<ul><li>
Develop and implement a comprehensive mission consistent marketing and communications strategy that is fully aligned with Catholic Charities&rsquo; organizational, service delivery and funding priorities.</li><li>
Serve as a senior advisor to Catholic Charities&rsquo; CEO, and Board on communications strategy, reputation management, and public messaging.</li><li>
Ensure brand consistency, tone, and visual identity across all communications.</li></ul> 
Marketing &amp; Brand Management<ul><li>
Oversee brand positioning and storytelling that reflects Catholic Charities&rsquo; organizational values, the dignity of the human person, and our commitment to serving those in need.</li><li>
Supported by the Director of Marketing, oversee marketing campaigns that promote program growth, public awareness, advocacy, and fundraising initiatives.</li><li>
Provide guidance and oversight of creative development across print, digital, video, and social media platforms that ensures consistent messaging across all marketing and development efforts.</li></ul> 
Communications &amp; Public Relations<ul><li>
Lead the development of a comprehensive media strategy that allows for measurable targets and objectives.</li><li>
In collaboration with the CEO and with the support of an outside public relations consulting firm, ensure consistency in marketing communications and public relations efforts.</li><li>
Lead internal and external communications, including organizational announcements, executive communications, speeches, and presentations.</li><li>
Serve as point person for media relations, including press outreach, media inquiries, interviews, and crisis communications.</li><li>
Draft and review press releases, op-eds, talking points, and messaging for CEO and board members.</li><li>
Work collaboratively with the Communications team at the ADNY to ensure consistent messaging on issues related to the Archbishop and other Archdiocesan support for Catholic Charities programs and services.</li></ul>
Digital Strategy<ul><li>
Collaborate with the development team to execute a specialized digital strategy utilizing SEO, social engagement and social tools, influencer relations, email newsletter engagement and social tools.</li><li>
Analyze digital performance metrics to evaluate and optimize reach, engagement, and conversion.</li></ul> 
Fundraising &amp; Development Support<ul><li>
Collaborate closely with the Development team to support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, stewardship materials, and grant-related communications.</li><li>
Produce compelling impact narratives, annual reports, case statements, and donor-facing materials.</li></ul>
Internal Communications<ul><li>
In collaboration with the Catholic Charities Human Resources team, strengthen internal communications to ensure staff are informed, engaged, and aligned with organizational goals.</li><li>
Support change-management initiatives with clear and timely communication.</li></ul> 
Team &amp; Vendor Management<ul><li>
Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing and communications team that delivers on clear and consistent performance goals and objectives.</li><li>
Oversee relationships with external vendors, agencies, freelancers, and consultants.</li><li>
Manage departmental budget and resources effectively.</li></ul> 
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally 9:00 AM to 5 PM Monday - Friday. Please note that additional night and weekend hours will be required to meet deadlines and attend events.

What success looks like:
3 months: Get embedded in the business, the sales motion, and the buyer journey. Audit the current state of CRM, email, paid media, website, and reporting, and build relationships with your key cross-functional partners across sales, product marketing, UK growth and attribution, web, and partner marketing. Clean up the HubSpot CRM and stand up the foundational infrastructure: lifecycle stages, lead scoring, core workflows. Develop email segments and launch your first campaigns, from content nurtures to webinar ops. Take ownership of paid digital alongside our freelance paid media partner, and start delivering prioritized website improvements to the web lead. Establish a baseline reporting rhythm across all marketing channels. By the end of month three, you have a clear diagnostic and a prioritized roadmap for the next two quarters.
6 months: Own the demand gen engine and the performance story behind all of marketing. CRM, email, and paid digital are running with clear benchmarks, and you're driving measurable conversion lift on stream.co. You're the analyst across every channel, including events, OOH, content, and partner activity, and the team relies on you for the performance narrative regardless of who's executing. Attribution and reporting are in place. Integrated campaigns are connecting across channels, not running in silos. Sales and partner teams are seeing inbound leads they weren't getting before, and AI-assisted workflows are part of how you operate.
12 months: Stream's US demand gen function is unrecognizable from where it started. You've built a repeatable, measurable system that consistently feeds pipeline, and stream.co is a real conversion engine. You're the source of truth for marketing performance, and leadership comes to you for the read on what's working. You've identified what scales for Stream's market and doubled down. You're influencing go-to-market strategy, not just executing on it, and you've built the case for the next hires on your team. Leadership considers marketing a genuine source of pipeline, not just air cover.
Salary: From $140,000 to $160,000 DOE + Equity + Bonus
Working Policy: We operate a hybrid policy; 3 days a week from our Spring Street office.

 We are searching for a strategic, results-driven senior marketing leader with a proven track record across Brand and Trade Marketing and a deep passion for the wine industry to join our Brand Marketing team. As a Senior Brand Marketing Manager, you will serve as a primary architect of our consumer-centric brand strategy, owning the end-to-end development and execution of marketing programs across all U.S. markets and channels.
