As a Senior Medical Communications Writer, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing publications based on Rhythm&rsquo;s R&amp;D and therapeutic areas, as well as managing freelance writers and vendors and contributing to overall publication strategy. This position will also provide writing support for associated materials to the Global Scientific Communications department.<br>

<b>Responsibilities and Duties</b><ul><li>
Perform literature reviews and solicit input from medical, statistical, and operational resources as necessary to support data analysis and document content.</li><li>
Oversee vendor- and freelance writer-generated publications, ensuring deliverables are timely and of high quality for internal reviewers and external authors.</li><li>
Membership on Core Publication Team and help with overall publication strategy and planning.</li><li>
Assist with review of data to ensure cleanliness/appropriateness for analysis, hypothesis testing, QA of statistical output, and data compilation to support data summaries/presentations.</li><li>
Writing scientific publications (papers for peer-reviewed medical journals, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations).

Qualifications and Skills</b><ul><li>
BS/BA in scientific discipline preferred, advanced degree is a plus.</li><li>

Our computing environment consists of high-performance computing clusters, virtual machines, PetaByte-scale high-performance storage and cloud platforms. We work with BCH scientists to develop solutions in support of cutting-edge research ranging from lattice light-sheet microscopy to CryoEM, genomics, and informatics.<br>

The role will work with PhD-level bioinformatics scientists and researchers who have single-cell RNA-seq, bulk RNA-seq, proteomics and image data to investigate mouse and human diseases as well as with other pediatric scientists at BCH. A Postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Glycomics Core (https://research.bidmc.org/glycomics-core) (Department of Surgery) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, USA, to investigate the glycomic and glycoproteomic variations in numerous types of samples, disease states, and projects. Our core facility works with researchers within the BIDMC community, as well as around the globe to provide mass spectrometry-based assays for glycomic and glycoproteomic questions. We are a one-of-a-kind fee-for-service institutional core providing both mass spectrometry glycomics and glycoproteomics based approaches, and working directly with Dr. Richard D. Cummings, Director, as well as the staff of the National Center for Functional Glycomics, which houses the glycan array facility for the Consortium for Functional Glycomics. This postdoc will work on multiple projects with a focus on glycoproteomic profiles of purified proteins, antibodies, and biological samples including cells, serum/plasma, and tissues.</p>

Preferred Requirements:</p>

   Assist in maintaining accurate data in ADP, ClearCompany, SharePoint.

   Prepare and review all Administrative Assistant SOPs as needed.

   Book hotel and flights for staff and communicate with hotel and airlines as needed.

   Provide receipts of all purchases made with Divvy card to director and upload them to Bill.com in timely manner.

   Order food for team meetings as needed.

   Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.
