Senior Manager, U.S. Trade Floor Risk Management, Global Risk Management - New York, NY 
Purpose 
The Trade Floor Risk Management role will be to monitor the risks generated by all Mortgage Trading desks in the U.S. including Agency MBS/TBA&rsquo;s, CMO&rsquo;s, Non-Agency RMBS, as well as Whole Loan Trading. The risk manager will be part of a team co-located on the trading floor, working closely with other product specialists. The role will also include interfacing with the Houston-based mortgage lending and origination teams as the business expands. The role will also include opining on the suitability of certain mortgage collateral types as well as haircuts that the Repo desk will be financing with the bank&rsquo;s clients. 
The Senior Manager will:<ul><li>
Be the primary market risk management lead for the U.S. Mortgage Business in its entirety.</li><li>
Be responsible for the establishment of risk limits related to all of the Mortgage businesses, risk reporting, capital calculations under FRTB, breach discussions and remediation, as well as be instrumental in the business review process.</li><li>
Have significant interaction with the front office to solidify a strong cooperative relationship between risk and the front office. This aspect also involves participation in the setting of Volcker metrics for these desks along with advising the desk about the rule.</li><li>
Be participating within a much larger risk management team in the U.S., as well as within a global Trade Floor Risk Management effort.</li><li>
Produce significant market risk material and analysis to be used in local and global risk committees, including business risk metrics, top and emerging market risks, as well as risk support and challenge to the various businesses.</li><li>
Be presenting and interfacing with the various regulators that oversee the bank including the Fed, OSFI, the DFS, and others. This will involve working closely with the bank&rsquo;s Regulatory Relations team.</li><li>
Require significant interaction with the Financial Engineering/Modeling team, the Market Risk Model Development team, the Model Risk team, the Data Governance team, as well as the Risk Technology effort.</li><li>
Require an understanding of the modeling effort&rsquo;s design and capture of the various risk factors generated by all facets of the business. This may require frequent interaction with the Model</li><li>
Risk team to discuss the sufficiency of the risk models used for each business.</li><li>
Work closely with other risk partners within the bank including Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Control, and others within Financial and Non-Financial Risk.</li></ul> 
Accountabilities<ul><li>
Produce Mortgage Trading risk reports with utilizations against limits, and perform breach remediation discussions and resolutions.</li><li>
Working with the front office, help in establishing and revising the desk limit structures including total notional, VaR, Stress Testing Limits, and other risk sensitivities.</li><li>
Respond on a daily basis to front office risk needs, questions, and provide challenge to confirm justification for limit change requests.</li><li>
Participate in the end of month IPV (Independent Price Valuation) process working closely with Product Control.</li><li>

The Position: 
The Sr. Analyst/Associate will join Liberty Mutual Investments&rsquo; Risk Management Team and play a key role in General Account&rsquo;s portfolio risk oversight, monitoring, and framework development across public and private asset classes. Working closely with portfolio managers, deal analysts, and other stakeholders including ERM. This individual will provide independent risk perspective to support investment decisions and portfolio construction. 
In addition to wide-ranging contributions to risk management and monitoring, this Risk Management professional will help to elevate the firm's risk culture of constructive inquiry and advocate for the broader risk framework, which forms an integral part of LMI's investment process. 
This is a range posting between a Senior Analyst and Associate position and level will be determined by hiring team based on experience. 
Responsibilities: 
<ul><li>
Oversee and advance LMI&rsquo;s risk management framework across asset classes, including risk budgets and market, credit, liquidity, &amp; concentration risk.</li><li>
Monitor global macro, market &amp; credit developments; identify key portfolio risks and translate macro/sector/regulatory themes into actionable portfolio implications.</li><li>
Access and monitor Portfolio credit risk; serve as one of the primary credit risk liaisons, coordinating across investment teams and ERM on monitoring, escalation, governance, and reporting.</li><li>
Partner with LMI Investment Business Units (IBUs) portfolio managers and analysts to support new investment reviews and portfolio changes, including deal-level risk modeling, downside analysis, and identification of key risk mitigants.</li><li>
Develop, maintain, and enhance stress testing and scenario analysis framework; summarize impacts to portfolio exposures, risk appetite and guideline limits, including rating agency constraints.</li><li>
Produce monthly and quarterly portfolio risk reviews for senior stakeholders and committees; provide ad hoc deep dives to support research initiatives that improve consistency, transparency, and investment outcomes.</li><li>
Take a pragmatic approach to enhancing risk models, data, and analytics to strengthen overall investment decision making.</li></ul>
Qualifications
A degree in Finance, Economics, or technical field and at least 5 years of relevant work experience is required. A graduate degree would be a plus. The successful candidate will bring a strong foundation in investment risk management and portfolio analytics, with the ability to translate complex risk topics into clear, actionable insights for portfolio managers and senior stakeholders. This role requires sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a collaborative mindset to independently challenge assumptions, support investment decisions, and enhance LMI&rsquo;s risk framework, data, and reporting capabilities. 
The ideal candidate must also bring the following qualifications:<ul><li>
Demonstrated experience in investment/portfolio risk management, market/credit risk, or related buy-side investment analytics across public and private assets.</li><li>
Experience performing risk analysis for new transaction approvals and providing clear recommendations and supporting analysis to portfolio management and transaction review committees.</li><li>
Strong analytical background and quantitative toolkit including familiarity with AI/ML models; acquaintance with public-equivalent approaches for alternative/private assets risk modeling is a plus.</li><li>
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to partner effectively across investment teams and support functions, and deliver clear risk insights, and provide constructive independent challenge.</li><li>
Demonstrated capability to drive projects to successful completion through cross-functional collaboration.</li><li>
Experience enhancing risk frameworks and contributing to data, analytics, and infrastructure improvements to strengthen risk management capabilities.</li><li>

Position

MIO&rsquo;s Portfolio Analytics Group seeks a Head of Manager Selection Analytics to lead a small, high-impact team responsible for advancing MIO&rsquo;s manager selection and portfolio analytics capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of investments, risk, and technology, driving analytical frameworks, systems, and insights that directly inform portfolio construction and manager evaluation.

The individual will serve as a strategic thought partner to the Head of Portfolio Analytics and senior leadership (CIO, CRO, PMs), while owning the analytics and infrastructure that underpin investment decision-making across internal and external managers.

The Group

The Portfolio Analytics Group (PAG) provides decision support to the Investment team by (i) maintaining and evolving MIO's manager selection engine and (ii) leveraging data and analytics to create an edge in our investment processes. The group delivers insights that support the CIO and portfolio managers in manager selection decisions.

PAG also serves as the center of excellence for performance and risk reporting for Risk and Advisory. The team owns MIO's attribution system, a critical component in managing investment performance and systemic risks across our portfolio.
