Position Overview
This is a hands-on accounting role ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, job costing, and WIP reporting. You'll work directly with project managers and senior finance staff to keep billing activity current, reduce aged work-in-progress (WIP), and ensure the accuracy of financial records across a fast-paced, global energy services environment.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Job setup and closeout: Open new jobs upon receipt of all required documentation from approved requestors; close completed jobs after verifying all costs are captured and invoices issued</li><li>
Invoice and credit memo processing: Generate and submit accurate invoices and credit memos upon job completion in a timely manner</li><li>
WIP management: Produce weekly WIP Aging reports and distribute to project managers for review ahead of branch manager WIP meetings, helping to reduce aged WIP balances</li><li>
Accounts payable support: Enter vendor invoices by matching against PO receivers or applying correct GL coding; submit batches for Senior AP Specialist approval</li><li>
Receipt entry: Record miscellaneous receipts as needed</li><li>
AP filing: Maintain an organized accounts payable filing system</li><li>
Spreadsheet management: Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets to support reporting and analysis</li><li>
Month-end close: Assist with reconciliations and related financial reporting at month-end</li><li>
