 LHH is working on behalf of our growing client in the non-profit space who is looking to bring an Accounts Payable Accountant on board on a 4+ month contract basis. This will require some in-office work in Manhattan, NY. Prior experience utilizing NetSuite is a highly preferred!
 
 
 
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Process invoices and weekly payments for all US entities
 </li>
 <li>
 Review GL coding
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage vendor requests within the system
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare year-end schedules
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with ad-hoc reporting and month-end closing
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 Qualifications:
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor's degree highly preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 3+ years of relevant experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables &amp; v-lookups
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with NetSuite is preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Prior non-profit industry experience is a plus
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 </li>

 Compensation: $32 - $38/hr, depending on experience.

 Overview:
 
 
 
 Provides financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 DATA, VENDOR INFORMATION:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Secure and maintain W-9 forms and prepare annual 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC returns.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create new vendor following Company policy and local tax requirement.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify vendor bank information &amp; payment instructions/terms.
 </li>
 <li>
 Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements. Enter new or update vendor names and data.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 REVIEW, PAYMENT:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Partner with General Accounting team in the month-end close process (ensure invoices are accurately posted in the proper month; accruals are recorded in the proper month.)
 </li>
 <li>
 Review aged Accounts Payable by vendor on weekly basis.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review, code, post vendor invoices after verifying G/L account, cost center, vendor information, and approval status.
 </li>
 <li>
 Setup payment for invoices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process checks, online credit card payments, ACH and wire transfer payments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Reconcile vendor accounts with system regularly.
 </li>
 <li>
 Resolve vendor discrepancies in a timely manner.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 INTERNAL AUDITS:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Participate in writing Standard Operating Procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain complete records of invoices/vendor information digitally.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist with financial system upgrade.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor and manage autopay vendors (utilities, phone, etc. ), and clear to acknowledge payments in system.

 Requirements:
 
 
 
 <ul>

 2+ years accounts payables experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with Esker or other invoice automation system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in SAP S4H
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in MS Office
 </li>
 <li>
 High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
 </li>
 <li>
 Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all job functions are performed in a timely and efficient manner
