<div>At Houston Methodist, the Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) position is responsible for functioning as an expert and demonstrates highly competent knowledge in the more technical and advances examinations and treatments necessary to communicate appropriately and carry out delegated medical assistant level tasks under the direct supervision of a Physician and/or Registered Nurse for assigned patient populations, for providing high quality support of patient care and services. Current BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS highly preferred.<br>

Exceptional communication skills, polished professional demeanor, and strong critical-thinking ability.<br>
</li><li>
Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and commitment to maintaining a calm, welcoming environment for patients, families, and colleagues.</li></ul></div><div></div>

Qualifications
&bull;	Master&rsquo;s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited graduate nursing program with a focus on family practice.
&bull;	Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Texas (or eligibility to obtain).
&bull;	National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP C or FNP BC) by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP or ANCC).
&bull;	Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
