Position Summary

Responsibilities 


Reporting to Chief Financial Officer, the Analyst will be a key contributor in executing IMC&rsquo;s transaction and reporting processes, as well as enhancing IMC&rsquo;s overall operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

<li>Assist with the review and processing of daily transactions such as capital calls, distributions, redemptions, and transfers.</li>
<li>Coordinate the review and updating of monthly and quarterly manager data and ensuring investments are properly set up in IMC&rsquo;s portfolio accounting system.</li>
<li>Coordinating directly with the custodian to ensure accounts are appropriately set up and entries are made in accounting and performance measurement systems.</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with team members to compile, coordinate and review the monthly portfolio accounting and performance data, while identifying areas of process improvements.</li>
<li>Reviewing monthly reconciliations and reports and identifying issues to senior team members with a focus on controls and areas of process improvements.</li>
<li>Reviewing the key drivers of investment performance, assist senior team members in understanding changes in the portfolio and working with the investment team to validate observations.</li>
<li>Working closely with team members to provide project management support.</li>
<li>Coordinate the review of legal documents to verify fee arrangements and other negotiated terms.</li>
<li>Assist with maintaining tax information and liaise with the University&rsquo;s tax department.</li>

In addition, the Analyst is expected to perform other related duties and materially participate in various projects which may include, but are not limited to:

<li>Participate in the analysis of returns both at an individual manager and overall portfolio level.</li>
<li>Interfacing with investment managers to increase understanding of information disclosed in financial statements.</li>
<li>Identifying, recommending and implementing potential workflow improvements using new technologies.</li>
<li>Critically reviewing, streamlining and/or enhancing reporting tools and make recommendations to facilitate investment management and asset allocation decisions.</li>
<li>Evaluating changes in investment accounting standards and the related impact on financial reporting.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and or its equivalent.</li>
<li>At least two to four years of experience in the investment fund/asset management industry required.</li>

 Role Description
 
 
 
 The Asset Management Analyst (AM Analyst) will be responsible for managing a portfolio of affordable housing properties. The AM Analyst will represent ownership in executing business plans of each property under her/his management and recommend strategies and solutions to optimize performance of each property. The responsibilities of an AM Analyst will include: monitoring property operations, managing controllable expenses, and managing building compliance and capital improvements. The AM Analyst is expected to be a hands-on team member who can multi-task, has a strong work ethic, and welcomes a challenge, while working in a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial work environment. The position is based in New York City and will report to the Director of Asset Management.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Essential Functions
 
 
 
 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;Monitor and track property operations in coordination with the Property Managers to ensure targets are being hit. Operational items include: occupancy, leasing, unit turnovers, violations clearance, collections, subsidy terminations, and work order completion.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Develop plans to obtain and implement increases for rental subsidies and work with property management staff to execute.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Collaborate with maintenance staff, vendors, and expeditors to clear HPD, DOB, ECB and FDNY violations.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Work with in-house Construction Management team to create capital improvement plans.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure properties are in compliance with all local laws and prepared for mandated inspections.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Perform frequent site inspections to assess property conditions, and to confirm maintenance &amp; repair work meets Camber&rsquo;s standards. Verify work orders are being created and work being completed for any deficiencies identified.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Active oversite of the controllable expenses for each property, inclusive of providing actual to budget variance commentary and annual budgets.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Propose value-add initiatives at each property and assist project team members in creating investment objectives for each property.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Review contracts and negotiate with contractors, vendors, and consultants, as needed.
 
 
 &bull;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist team members with cash management forecasts to ensure real-time operational updates are being accounted for in the forecasts.

 Required Experience
 
 
 
 &middot;&nbsp;&nbsp;+2 years in a relevant field; experience in property management preferred
