<div>The Exhibition Design department collaborates with curators and artists to shape the design and narrative of the permanent and special exhibitions that form the foundation of the Museum&rsquo;s mission, identity and visitor experience. 
 
Reporting to the Director, Exhibition Design, the Associate Exhibition Designer assists in the creation of innovative, impactful and inclusive designs for the Museum&rsquo;s exhibition program through all phases of development and implementation. Responsibilities<ul><li>

Design<ul><li>
Supporting the Designer in creating designs and delivering presentations based on deliverables outlined in the contract and AvroKO&rsquo;s Architectural Standards. Tasks may include, but not be limited to developing designs, 3D modeling, elevation renderings, mood board creation, CAD drawings, image research, materials and furniture sourcing, etc.</li></ul>
Documentation<ul><li>
Work on assigned design phases within project budgeted hours</li><li>
Under the supervision of a Designer, assist in the creation of quality timely sets of drawings, specifications, budgets, and reports as proscribed by the contract</li></ul>
Administration<ul><li>
Maintain project files and folders in accordance with Architectural Standards</li><li>
Tagging images in accordance with Image Library Standards</li><li>
Archiving record copies of all milestone deliverables</li><li>
Type and issue to Project Manager meeting notes (based on PM&rsquo;s hand notes) for external design meetings</li></ul>

Requirements:
<ul><li>At least 1-3 years of post-graduate design experience with significant experience in high-end, conceptually driven interior design</li><li>
Demonstrated conceptual approach to design</li><li>
Persuasive presentation skills</li><li>
Excellent teamwork skills. Ability to work collaboratively with different level designers and leaders across the firm</li><li>
Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail. Outstanding communication skills</li><li>
Proven industry experience with common industry software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite, 3D modeling applications, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Spexx specification writing software a plus</li><li>
Experience using Sketchup and Photoshop is required</li><li>
Strong writing skills (narratives, strategy, meeting minutes, proposals, etc.)</li><li>
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or Architecture</li><li>
The base salary range will be estimated between $55,000-$70,000 plus benefits and contingent on relevant experience and abilities</li></ul>

INTERIOR DESIGNER (JUNIOR)

 Pembrooke and Ives is seeking a Junior Decorator with at least 1 year experience to work closely with Intermediate Decorators, Senior Decorators and Studio Directors to provide development, production support and co-ordination throughout the project delivery process as a member of the design team. A dependable, energetic individual with a &ldquo;can-do&rdquo; attitude and exceptional attention to detail, the Junior Decorator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the design team to ensure the successful completion of the project.  Duties &amp; Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Communication &amp; Coordination:

 Coordinates and communicates effectively and appropriately with project stakeholders including other project team members, clients, vendors, building management, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors to convey project information in a timely and accurate manner.

 </ul>
 Projects Drawings, Documentation &amp; Deliverables:

 <li>
 Prepares, develops and produces project drawings including furniture plans, custom furniture drawings, elevations, lighting plans and custom decorative finish drawings using CAD.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in the production of 3D models and renderings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares, develops and produces project documentation including room schemes, room sheets, decorating budgets with high/low options, and decorating schedules with project milestones and decision dates. Updates documentation as required throughout the project life-cycle.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produces vendor purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produces client invoices packets accurately and efficiently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Places final orders on behalf of client and expedites long-lead items to ensure timely delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Produces final decorating punch list and specifications book as required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Arranges, coordinates and takes delivery of all decorative items.
 </li>
 <li>
 Inspects decorative items upon delivery and arranges for remediation if required.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversees the installation of all decorative items.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Meetings &amp; Presentations:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Attends, participates and contributes in meetings with clients, internal project team, contractors, sub-contractors and vendors by preparing agendas, taking meeting notes and preparing meeting minutes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists in the production of client presentations in conjunction with other project team members.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 Sourcing, Selection &amp; Specification:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Sources, selects and specifies furniture, window treatments, drapery, fabrics, wall covering, wall treatments, lighting, carpeting, regular painting, decorative painting, decorative finishes, decorative art (non-collectable) and accessories as required for the project in accordance with the project budget and schedule.

 </ul>
 SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Possesses a high taste level and has knowledge of high-end market. Follows and speaks to current industry trends on space, function, decorative lighting, fabrics, furniture and equipment, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possesses good time management skills and is able to handle multiple project deadlines and make decisions in a fast-paced environment to take a project from design concept all the way through installation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Able to make decisions and communicate in a fast-paced environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly presentable, intelligent, confident and discreet with an outgoing, upbeat and confident demeanor.
 </li>
 <li>
 Goal and detail-oriented with exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in the use AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office programs. Studio Designer a plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Possess foundational knowledge of interior design principles/practices.
 </li>
 <li>
 A Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Interior Design.
 </li>
 <li>
 At least 1 year of demonstrated work experience with Interior Design and/or Architectural Firms.
