Job Description:</h3>

The Brand, Identity and Look of the Games (BIL) team is responsible for overseeing the development and management of all LA28' visual identity. Our work defines how the Games are seen and remembered&mdash;through a variable emblem system, typography, color palette, imagery, patterns, and more&mdash;creating a brand experience that is bold, distinctive, and timeless.

The LA28 brand is the first-ever variable Olympic and Paralympic logo and has an ever-expanding inventory of design assets. Along with developing and managing the core identity, the BIL team is responsible for marquee Games design deliverables such as core graphic, pictograms, and torch in addition to internal creative services.

The BIL team is looking for an Associate Brand Designer to support the Guidelines &amp; Governance team. This role is mostly a production artist and partly a layout designer, they will assist in transforming creative concepts into digital and print ready files, and support the creation and distribution of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games brand guidelines and other official documents.

The ideal candidate is a versatile designer/production artist, who can work across mediums with a meticulous eye for detail and final output quality. They should bring a deep understanding of digital standards, color theory, file formats and editorial principles. Beyond craft, they should be highly organized, proactive and collaborative, with excellent communication skills to work effectively across teams.

The Associate Brand Design, Guidelines &amp; Governance will report to and work closely with the Manager, Brand Design &ndash; Guidelines &amp; Governance and collaborate with the larger BIL team, the Digital Assets Manager, key partners throughout the Marketing team, and across the organization.

 Our client is expanding its YouTube presence. As Video Producer, you&rsquo;ll develop YouTube-first formats that celebrate beauty, self-expression, and community. From concept to publish, you&rsquo;ll own the full production process, ensuring content feels authentic, engaging, and aligned with the brand&rsquo;s voice.
 
 
 
 
 
 This role works directly with the client with Snowball serving as the creative YouTube partner supporting the channel&rsquo;s strategic and creative development. You&rsquo;ll collaborate closely with Snowball&rsquo;s YouTube growth experts (27M+ subs, 110B+ views) to push creative boundaries, experiment with new formats, and help build one of the most engaging beauty channels on the platform.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Do
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Develop and execute YouTube-first video formats aligned with the brand&rsquo;s voice, mission, and audience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Translate beauty education, transformations, and creator stories into engaging, story-driven narratives.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead the full YouTube production cycle: research, ideation, scripting, filming, and post-production collaboration.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experiment with long-form formats designed to educate, inspire, and entertain the brand&rsquo;s global audience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate with internal brand, product, and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy and alignment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner with Snowball to analyze YouTube performance data and continuously optimize for reach, retention, and engagement.
 </li>

 What You Bring
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 5+ years as a video producer, filmmaker, or content creator with a strong storytelling portfolio (required).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience producing YouTube-optimized content for beauty, lifestyle, or creator-led channels.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to translate educational or technical topics into accessible, engaging stories.
 </li>
 <li>
 Highly proactive and comfortable running an end-to-end production pipeline independently.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong collaborator with experience working across brand, creative, and marketing teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Bonus: Experience working with agencies or external creative partners, navigating multi-stakeholder workflows and brand guidelines.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep knowledge of YouTube trends, best practices, and audience engagement strategies.

Role Overview: 
As a Brand Designer at CHAOS, you will play a vital role in creating visually engaging designs and graphics that effectively convey complex information, concepts, and technical data. You are a strong communicator who will work with cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and subject matter experts, rapidly iterating on ideas, addressing points of feedback, and finding compelling visual solutions. The ideal candidate can think strategically, push the standards of design higher, help build out our design guidelines, and execute quickly and efficiently. Projects include: brand asset management, slide decks, technical diagrams, illustrations, graphics, branding, layout and website design. 
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop comprehensive brand identity systems including typography, color, imagery, and visual language</li>
<li>Create brand guidelines and design systems that scale across digital, print, and environmental applications</li>
<li>Create key brand assets and templates, graphics, illustrations, and visual assets for various projects, slide decks, proposals, marketing materials, and digital media</li>
<li>Create systems and templates that help support our business development teams and increase the quality of future projects</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements, feedback, and technical details to ensure accurate and effective design solutions</li>
<li>Transform complex technical data and information into clear and engaging visual representations, such as infographics and diagrams</li>
<li>Exercise judgment and project management skills to balance priorities and communicate with teams to meet or exceed project deadlines; keep internal clients informed on projects and progress</li>
<li>Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all design work produced</li>
<li>Develop long-term design strategies, staying ahead of the curve on design technologies and how they can be applied to the needs of the team</li>
<li>Partner closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders to iterate on new concepts and effectively communicate messaging</li>
<li>Partner with external agencies, freelancers, and vendors as needed</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Strong familiarity with leading brand identity work, working at scale, and working across many different mediums</li>
<li>Proven track record leading projects from strategy through execution</li>
<li>Ability to transform complex ideas into compelling narratives</li>
<li>Mastery of design, typography, color theory, illustration, composition, and form</li>
<li>Fluency in Figma and Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)</li>
<li>Ability to work strategically and effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to shifting priorities</li>
<li>Excellent presentation and communication skills and stakeholder management</li>
<li>Ability to work hybrid in either in San Francisco or Los Angeles (our HQ is currently in Hawthorne)</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in design, art, architecture, or industrial design</li>
<li>Experience with motion and animation</li>
<li>Experience with photography and videography</li>
<li>Experience with 3D software (Cinema4D or similar)</li>
