Talent Associate

The Metropolitan Opera

<div><div><p>The Production Department of The Metropolitan Opera is responsible for all production and technical details related to the development, creation, and performance of the opera repertory, the coordination of presentations and special events, the operation and maintenance of, as well as improvements to the Metropolitan Opera stage, shops, and warehouses. The Administrative Associate &ndash; Electric is an essential part of this process, working at the direction of the Production Finance Manager and Head Electrician to support the administration of the Electric Department payroll and administrative needs. The Electric Department of the Metropolitan Opera&rsquo;s IATSE Local One stage crew is responsible for the execution of the lighting, sound, video, and automation elements of Met productions, presentations, and special events.</p>

Senior Associate, People Operations (Workday)</b></p>
<p>
The Senior Associate, People Operations (Workday) plays a critical role in supporting stabilization, and ongoing administration of Workday across the organization. This position will partner closely with the People Operations team, Payroll, Reporting, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity, process efficiency, and ensuring we are taking into consideration operational standards.</p>
<p>
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role will be heavily focused on auditing data, troubleshooting system issues, documenting processes, and supporting the day-to-day activities associated with Workday and its integration with ADP Payroll.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p><b>
Workday Operations &amp; Data Integrity</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Support the ongoing rollout, stabilization, and optimization of Workday across the employee lifecycle.</li>
<li>Audit employee data between Workday and ADP to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.</li>
<li>Review and analyze compare reports, error reports, integration reports, and audit findings to proactively identify and resolve issues.</li>
<li>Partner with Payroll and HRIS teams to investigate and correct employee data inconsistencies.</li>
<li>Monitor Workday transactions and validate successful processing of employee changes.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Process Improvement &amp; Documentation</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Maintain, update, and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and process documentation related to Workday transactions and People Operations workflows.</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.</li>
<li>Assist in developing and documenting new procedures as Workday functionality expands.</li>
<li>Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the People Operations team.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Organizational Structure &amp; Data Management</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Create and maintain Supervisory Organizations (Sup Orgs) and organizational structures within Workday.</li>
<li>Support with the processing of organizational changes including transfers, promotions, restructures, and reporting line bulk updates.</li>
<li>Submit and validate Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) uploads and other mass data transactions.</li>
<li>Perform quality assurance reviews following data uploads and system changes.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Reporting &amp; Analysis</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Generate and analyze Workday reports to support People Operations, Payroll, and Business Stakeholders.</li>
<li>Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting related to employee data, organizational changes, and system performance.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Issue Resolution &amp; Stakeholder Support</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Serve as a point of contact for Workday-related operational tickets and escalations.</li>
<li>Partner with the Workday Project Lead, HRIS, Payroll, and Workday Support teams to investigate and resolve system issues.</li>
<li>Track, document, and manage open issues through resolution.</li>
<li>Support testing activities, system enhancements, and post-production validation efforts.</li>

Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>
<li>1&ndash;2 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HRIS, Payroll, or a related operational function, with a focus on Workday.</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.</li>
<li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Experience working with Workday, ADP, and other HRIS platforms.</li>
<li>Experience performing data audits, reconciliations, or quality assurance reviews.</li>
<li>Experience maintaining process documentation and SOPs.</li>
