Job Summary</b></p><p>
The <b>Accountant </b>position analyzes and reports on financial data to help the business run efficiently. This</p><p>
position will process business transactions including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements,</p><p>
expense vouchers, and receipts. This position requires advanced knowledge in GAAP and works</p><p>
independently to interpret or make deductions from varying facts or circumstances. This position</p><p>
reports to the Accounting Manager and has no direct reports.</p><p><b>
Essential Job Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Reliable attendance and punctuality.</li><li>
Participate in key areas of the monthly financial close to ensure timely and accurate reporting</li><li>
on financial results.</li><li>
Prepare journal entries, reconcile various balance sheet and general ledger accounts.</li><li>
Assists employees, vendors, clients, and/or customers by answering questions related to</li><li>
accounts, procedures and services.</li><li>
Responsible for accounting functions that are part of an efficient month-end closing process,</li><li>
including reporting.</li><li>
Properly store and manage financial data.</li><li>
Regularly review bookkeeping for accuracy, provide reporting as necessary for audits.</li><li>
Review and update accounting processes and procedures as needed.</li><li>
Make financial recommendations.</li><li>
Collaborate with accounting team as necessary.</li><li>
Maintain confidential and secure storage of important financial information.</li><li>
Ensure all bookkeeping is accurate and adheres to state and federal law.</li><li>
Complete ad hoc projects and generate monthly reports as assigned.</li><li>
Other duties as assigned by supervisor</li></ul><p><b>

Measurement of accuracy against work produced.</li><li>
Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, willingness and</li><li>
ability to learn new skills and information.</li><li>
Other key performance measurements as determined by the direct supervisor.</li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting or finance required.</li><li>
3+ years of progressive and operational accounting experience.</li><li>
Strong Excel skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint).</li><li>
Operationally comfortable with GAAP.</li><li>
Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screen.</li><li>
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>
Experience with SL or Counterpoint a plus.</li><li>
Experience with software system conversion is a plus.</li><li>
Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.</li><li>
Ability to organize work, identify and complete critical tasks, and work independently with limited</li><li>
supervision.</li><li>
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds across locations and</li><li>
departments.</li><li>
Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers</li><li>
and to listen effectively to customer needs.</li><li>
Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer</li><li>
satisfaction.</li><li>
Willingness to take on new projects or assignments.</li><li>
Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.</li><li>
