The Certified MOHS Technician assists in the process of complex tissue removal and microscopic examination of skin cancer cells. Also, the MOHS Technician performs extensive administrative duties involving medical record keeping, developing laboratory protocols and following federal and state guidelines. They will assist the surgeon in all stages of surgery.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
The Certified MOHS Technician is responsible for providing complex skilled surgical and medical support to the MOHS surgeon with the patients' care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality as primary concerns.</li><li>
Conducts daily evaluation of tissue slide preparation to ensure quality compliance.</li><li>
Prepares for and assists in shaving and punching biopsies and excisions, suture removal and wound care.</li><li>
Prepares for and assists in cosmetic procedures such as the administration of Botox, various fillers, laser treatments and a variety of peels.</li><li>
Prepares patients' charts, forms, instruments, and other equipment as needed for surgery and patient care.</li><li>
Perform routine housekeeping duties and sterile technique. Keep rooms stocked with supplies and linens.</li><li>
Room patients, take detailed patient history, and have patient properly draped for the exam and prepares set-up for surgical removal.</li><li>
Performs other related duties.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Graduate of an accredited course in Histology or Pathology or supervised training by a registered histotechnologist required.</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of experience in a surgical-based practice to include six (6) months of MOHS experience in tissue grossing and preparing frozen tissue sections required.</li><li>
Member of the American Society for MOHS Surgery, preferred.</li></ul>

The Clinical Supervisor I is a licensed health care professional or clinician who oversees and mentors less experienced clinical staff, assigns work, maintains schedules and assists the Practice Manager and other leadership in the implementation of policies, workflows and processes.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Oversees clinical staff in assigned area, and assists department management in implementation of day-to-day activities and processes.</li><li>
Responsible for training staff on clinical office protocols and techniques.</li><li>
Responsible for documentation and maintaining patient immunization records, Coumadin registry, administering vaccines/injectables and other related clinical duties.</li><li>
Assists providers with patient education.</li><li>
Assesses new staffs clinical office protocols (i.e., vitals, phlebotomy) prior to probationary performance appraisal.</li><li>
Assists management with triaging, stocking supplies, reordering clinical supplies, etc., as needed.</li><li>
Assists management with annual competencies and performance appraisals.</li><li>
Verifies that all quality improvement protocols are being complied with.</li><li>
Assists management with improving workflows and processes.</li><li>
Resolves patient/family issues in the absence of the Practice Manager.</li><li>
Other relevant duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
2+ years in a medical office setting, with some management or supervisory experience preferred</li><li>
eClinical Works or EPIC experience an additional plus.</li></ul>
