The Certified MOHS Technician assists in the process of complex tissue removal and microscopic examination of skin cancer cells. Also, the MOHS Technician performs extensive administrative duties involving medical record keeping, developing laboratory protocols and following federal and state guidelines. They will assist the surgeon in all stages of surgery. 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
The Certified MOHS Technician is responsible for providing complex skilled surgical and medical support to the MOHS surgeon with the patients' care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality as primary concerns.</li><li>
Conducts daily evaluation of tissue slide preparation to ensure quality compliance.</li><li>
Prepares for and assists in shaving and punching biopsies and excisions, suture removal and wound care.</li><li>
Prepares for and assists in cosmetic procedures such as the administration of Botox, various fillers, laser treatments and a variety of peels.</li><li>
Prepares patients' charts, forms, instruments, and other equipment as needed for surgery and patient care.</li><li>
Perform routine housekeeping duties and sterile technique. Keep rooms stocked with supplies and linens.</li><li>
Room patients, take detailed patient history, and have patient properly draped for the exam and prepares set-up for surgical removal.</li><li>
Performs other related duties.</li></ul> 

Qualifications<ul><li>
Graduate of an accredited course in Histology or Pathology or supervised training by a registered histotechnologist required.</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of experience in a surgical-based practice to include six (6) months of MOHS experience in tissue grossing and preparing frozen tissue sections required.</li><li>
Member of the American Society for MOHS Surgery, preferred.

3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device and/or relevant clinical or industry experience.; OR 2+years of successful selling experience at Takeda</li><li>
Experience calling on Dermatologists/Dermatology experience</li><li>
Demonstrated business and strategic planning skills to identify unique selling opportunities and adaptability to changing market conditions.</li><li>
Demonstrated understanding of managed care landscape and how it influences/impacts business.</li><li>
Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills.</li><li>
Strong collaboration skills and success working in teams.</li><li>
Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography.</li></ul>
Preferred:
<ul><li>A minimum of 5 years&rsquo; direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device or healthcare industry and/or relevant clinical or industry experience</li><li>

Training Requirements:
<ul><li>This position and continued employment are contingent upon the employee successfully passing mandatory product training which includes written and oral examinations.</li><li>
External Takeda Hires Only: During that training period, the employee will be classified as a non-exempt employee and will be eligible for overtime during the training period only in accordance with applicable federal and/or state law, but the employee will not be eligible for any Takeda-related sales incentive programs and/or other production-based bonuses. The training period will consist of live instruction, independent study, role play, and other training related activities which should take no more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours total in a work week.</li><li>
After successful passage of the mandatory product training examinations, the employee will be transitioned to exempt status and will no longer be eligible for overtime. They will then be paid on a bi-weekly basis and eligible to participate in various Takeda related sales incentive programs and/or contests.</li></ul>

Ability to drive and/or fly to accounts and occasional business meetings</li><li>

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
$63.51 - $87.31 
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term incentives.
