Job Summary: Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric and medical support in accordance with military and civil service standards, delivering direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, assisting with procedures, maintaining safety and infection control, and supporting daily living activities.

Key Responsibilities:

<li>CNAs shall provide age-specific care based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the inpatient wards and outpatient clinics; health care provider's orders; the physical, mental and emotional needs of the patient; and the policies and procedures of BAMC.</li>

<div>At Houston Methodist, the Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant (PCA/UAA) position is responsible for performing key functions that support the interprofessional team in delivering high quality, cost-effective care. The PCA/UAA position demonstrates basic knowledge and skills necessary to communicate appropriately and carry out delegated nursing assistant level tasks for assigned patient populations, assisting in the delivery of patient care and services under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Assists with calls to physicians and their office, bed management, transfer services or other floors, coordinating with Operations Administrator as needed. Organizes the unit workflow, paperwork as needed, proactively problem-solves, anticipating needs, and managing multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision.
</li><li>Coordinates the requests to Facilities Management and Biomed regarding department needs or broken equipment. Rounds through the unit, per unit expectations, to check for environmental or equipment needs, and other assistance that may be needed. Serves as an in-house courier which may include retrieving blood, hand-delivering labs, tele boxes, etc.

What You Will Do In Your Role:<ul><li>
 You will be responsible for assisting the R.N. in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the Cath Lab patient.</li><li>
 You will be responsible to function in a call-out situation by scrubbing and running the table (x-ray).</li><li>
You will ensure archiving and storage of digital data and maintains proper operation of image review stations.</li><li>
 You will perform post processing manipulation of digital data to supply physician with additional clinical data.</li><li>
 You will be able to function in a Code Blue situation.</li></ul>
What qualifications you will need:<ul><li>
 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area</li><li>
 Prior Cath Lab experience preferred</li><li>
 Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology required</li><li>
