Roles + Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Act as editing and animation resource on client video work</li><li>
Act as assistant editor and animator on internal initiatives like case studies and pitch videos</li><li>
Take direction from and collaborate with creative teams</li><li>
Organize and manage project files, assets, and media across editorial workflows</li><li>
Prep and build out Premiere and After Effects project files for production</li><li>
Translate scripts and briefs into edited pieces of video that clearly communicate the required messaging</li><li>
Participate in ideation of content for internal projects and client campaigns, leveraging understanding of visual storytelling, editing techniques, and motion graphic design</li><li>
Brainstorm with insight and empathy to help solve problems in awesome and compelling ways</li><li>
Work directly with Production counterparts to set and meet deadlines</li><li>
Keep the agency informed of trends in video post-production techniques, workflow and software innovations</li><li>
Help to grow the Studio&rsquo;s technical capabilities by collaborating with the Studio Manager to improve the facility and workflow</li></ul> 

Requirements 
<ul><li>
1-3 years of post-production, editing and animation experience</li><li>
Proficient in Premiere and After Effects</li><li>
Degree or equivalent experience in Design, Art, Filmmaking, Marketing, or a related field</li><li>
Understanding of visual storytelling, editing and animation techniques, and software</li><li>
Strong conceptual thinker and problem solver able to approach a script from several different angles and provide options to the directing individual or team</li><li>
A passion for digital culture and inventing solutions to tomorrow's challenges today</li><li>
Editing, design and animation skills</li><li>
Communication and presentation abilities</li><li>
The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines</li><li>
3D modeling, rigging, animation and rendering skills a plus</li></ul> 

Benefits 
The salary band for this role is $60-$70K. Where a prospective new hire's base salary will fall within this band depends on several factors including their qualifications and experience, the skill level required in the role, market rates, and the salaries of existing crew members at Big Spaceship within the same role to maintain equity.</div>
