 POSITION OVERVIEW
 
 
 
 As the Event Registration &amp; Customer Support Associate, you&rsquo;ll be a key member of TED&rsquo;s Events department, guiding attendees through the registration process, providing white-glove customer service and ensuring a seamless experience leading up to and during conferences and events. You&rsquo;re customer-focused and detail-oriented with a proactive approach, able to expertly support attendees as well as manage data and compile audience analytics.
 
 
 If you&rsquo;re both a numbers person (strong data management) and a people person (customer service that goes above and beyond), we hope you&rsquo;ll apply. This is a 9-month engagement, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role based on business needs and performance.

 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 TED flagship conferences
 
 2-3 flagship conferences (up to 2000 attendees) held each year in North America + around the globe
 
 
 <ul>

 Provide world-class customer service via email and phone to facilitate a smooth registration journey for attendees ahead of the conference.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support and process attendee registrations, including troubleshooting, payment tracking, creating reports and updating database content.
 </li>

 Lead conference crew and vendor check-in process, including managing pre-conference registration, training and supervising accreditation staff, and overseeing the crew and vendor check-in area.

 Lead crew and vendor check-in onsite at conference venues for extended periods (often between 7-14 days per event).

 NYC events
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 5-10 smaller events (50-300 attendees) held in the TED Theater at TEDHQ and around NYC
 </li>

 Coordinate all aspects of the attendee experience from pre-planning to onsite execution in collaboration with leadership, including invitation timelines, invite and RSVP list management, and on-site attendee check-in.
 </li>

 Prepare front-of-house staffing plans (check-in staff, coat check, and wayfinders) in collaboration with internal stakeholders and oversee the team on prep and event days.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide world-class customer support for event attendees during pre-planning via email and in-person on event day.

 Work closely with internal stakeholders and provide general event logistics support (pre-planning, set up, tear down, etc.).

 Respond to high volumes of attendee and stakeholder emails, ranging from questions on how to register to troubleshooting tech issues, achieving a response time of 24 hours or less.

 Compile and/or update attendee analytic reports for leadership utilizing TED&rsquo;s CRM(s), Google Sheets, and Excel.

 Qualifications

 3-5 years of customer support experience, both in-person and online (ex. hotel concierge, airline guest services, etc).
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working in live events is an asset (ex. conferences, theater, media, etc).

 Experience using CRMs to effectively manage customer data, communications, and customer support.
 </li>
 <li>
 Extensive knowledge and current work experience with Google applications / Microsoft suite (especially Excel / Sheets).

 Personable and collaborative. A strong communicator able to translate complex information into clear, simple messages both verbally and in writing.

Basic Qualifications
 
<ul><li>High School Diploma/GED and at least one year of experience working in a retail sales environment that required meeting a defined sales goal OR at least one year of experience proactively selling beauty or cosmetic products and providing customer care</li>
<li>Experience in developing ways to accomplish goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary</li>
<li>Knowledge of products and brands in order to engage and meet the needs of the customer.</li>
<li>Experience building and maintaining relationships within a team.</li>
<li>Basic level PC/tablet skills.</li>
<li>Requires willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Must be fluent in reading, writing and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)</li>

Preferred Qualifications
 
<ul><li>Licensure in Cosmetology or as an Esthetician as granted by appropriate state licensing authority.</li>
<li>Experience establishing &amp; maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community &amp; with vendors.</li>
<li>Experience demonstrating makeup application and providing makeovers to customers.</li>
<li>Experiencing selling Prestige brands.</li>
<li>Degree from Beauty School.</li>
<li>Experience with another retailer in the form of an Externship.</li>

<div>Job Summary
The Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) Associate will play a critical role in ensuring inventory accuracy and product quality for NAPA&rsquo;s automotive parts aftermarket in the distribution center. Reporting to the ICQA Manager, the ICQA Associate will be expected to take ownership of ICQA tasks such as performing cycle counts, conducting audits, inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments using handheld scanning technology, verifying stock levels, resolving inventory discrepancies, monitoring proper storage conditions, and identifying quality issues to uphold NAPA&rsquo;s high standards. They will be expected to operate all equipment as/if needed in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards, including powered industrial trucks as/if needed. This dynamic team member will ultimately enhance operational efficiency and minimize errors, supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service through strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and seamless collaboration with warehouse teams.
Responsibilities
Inventory Control:<ul><li>
Monitor daily inventory levels to ensure accuracy and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.</li><li>
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.</li><li>
Maintain detailed inventory records and ensure timely updates in the inventory management system.</li><li>
Coordinate inventory movement in warehouse and production areas to optimize stock flow.</li><li>
Assist in forecasting inventory needs based on historical data and demand trends.</li></ul>
Quality Assurance:<ul><li>
Perform quality inspections on incoming, in-process, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.</li><li>
Document and report any defects, deviations, or quality issues identified during inspections.</li><li>
Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards related to product quality and handling.</li><li>
Participate in internal audits and support external quality audits as required.</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Strong understanding of inventory management systems and quality control procedures.</li><li>
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and accurate record-keeping.</li><li>
Analytical skills to identify discrepancies, trends, and support problem resolution.</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiar with inventory management software.</li><li>

Physical Demands / Working Environment<ul><li>
Environment: Position operates in a warehouse setting with continuous exposure to industrial noise (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, machinery, and loading activities), bright overhead lighting, and varying temperatures due to limited climate control. Employees regularly work around moving equipment and mechanical operations and must remain alert to audible and visual safety signals in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>
Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry objects of varying weights, 60 lbs. pounds or more, depending on job duties</li><li>
Pushing and Pulling: Capability to push and pull carts, pallet jacks, or other equipment loaded with materials throughout the warehouse. This may involve pushing or pulling heavy loads over extended distances or up ramps.</li><li>
Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, often for the duration of a shift. Warehouse employees need to be able to move around the warehouse facility to pick orders, stock shelves, or perform other tasks.</li><li>
Bending and Stooping: Capacity to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to retrieve items from shelves, bins, or storage racks. Employees need the ability to access items throughout the warehouse at various heights and angles.</li><li>
Climbing: Can climb ladders or stairs to access elevated storage areas or perform maintenance tasks. Warehouse employees need to have the capacity to work at heights to include open floor mezzanines and follow safety protocols for ladder use.</li><li>
Operating Equipment: Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Depending on the job role, employees must pass certification or training programs to operate certain equipment safely.</li><li>
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision and accuracy. This may include picking and packing items, labeling products, or assembling shipments.</li><li>
Repetitive Motion: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as scanning barcodes, sorting items, or packaging products, throughout the shift. Employees should be able to maintain productivity while performing repetitive motions safely.</li><li>
Physical Endurance: Stamina and endurance to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets. Warehouse employees need to have the capacity to work long hours, weekends, or overtime during peak periods.</li><li>
Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries. Employees should be vigilant about potential hazards in the warehouse environment and take appropriate precautions to ensure their safety and the safety of others.</li></ul>
