PARAMEDIC SKILLS EXAMINATION: 
The minimum passing score is 80%. The paramedic skills examination will have a weight of 35% of the candidate's overall score. Candidates who achieve passing scores on all portions of the paramedic assessment center will be placed on the eligibility list. 
 
Human Resources will arrange the Paramedic Assessment Center. Human Resources will notify referred candidates by EMAIL of the scheduled dates, times, and locations. 
 
ELIGIBILITY LIST: 
Placement on the eligibility list will be established based on a combination the written examination (15%), panel oral interview scores (50%) and paramedic assessment examination (35%). The Biddle Physical Ability Test is pass/fail. The eligibility list will remain in effect for a period of one (1) year from the date of establishment or until all the names on the list are exhausted. The eligibility list may be extended or abolished at the discretion of the Assistant Chief of Human Resources. 
 
CHIEF'S INTERVIEW: 
Candidates who successfully complete the Chief's interview may be invited to begin the pre-employment background process.

Role Summary:

In this role, you&rsquo;ll be part of the team responsible for functional validation and testing of Rivian and Volkswagen Group&rsquo;s electronic control units (ECUs) including telematics, infotainment, battery management, ADAS, and zonal Electronic Control Units (ECUs). Our team builds custom automated test solutions that include internal-facing software, low-level firmware, data management platforms, and custom electromechanical hardware. These solutions get deployed internally within Rivian and at external labs and contract manufacturing facilities.</div>
Responsibilities:

You&rsquo;ll be a key technical part of the team and will work with the engineering leads to build first articles, redline schematics, troubleshoot issues, and support testing. 
 Responsibilities<ul><li>
Work with the test and validation team to build automated test equipment and harnesses for Rivian electronic boards, based on schematics and work instructions.</li><li>
Operate software user interfaces to exercise test equipment during hardware bring up.</li><li>
Validate systems functionality by using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, power supplies and digital multimeters.</li><li>
Fabricate special test equipment supporting development and validation testing of automotive electronic components.</li><li>
Conduct environmental &amp; electrical testing (thermal, vibration, climatic, corrosion).</li><li>
Own calibration and mechanical setup of thermal and vibration chambers.</li><li>
Troubleshoot, root cause, and document test equipment and harness failures.</li><li>
Perform circuit board electronic modifications such as component rework, soldering/de-soldering of electronic components, etc.</li><li>

Qualifications:

This is a production-focused role, not a creative design position.
