Anticipate issues where possible and produce issues management plans and materials for key corporate issues (e.g. litigation; restructuring; product safety).</li><li>
Handle crisis communications in a calm manner applying judgement and being trusted by executives in such situations.</li><li>

Handle highly confidential and price sensitive announcements/issues relating to business strategy including working with senior leaders and Corporate Secretariat as needed.</li><li>

Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>
10+year's experience in corporate communications or related disciplines, with specialization in media relations.</li><li>

The US annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $140,250 to $233,750. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate&rsquo;s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. You will build and manage a newsroom function that surfaces compelling stories, develops high-quality editorial content, and ensures narrative cohesion across all external channels. You will sit within the External Communications team alongside earned media and social media. You will partner closely with these teams, along with leaders across the company, to drive integrated storytelling that strengthens brand reputation, supports media strategy, and engages key audiences.

You will report into the Senior Director, External Communications.

Work Location:
This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency:
The base pay for this role is: $180,504.00 - $236,911.50 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program, company equity grants and annual performance bonuses. 


Responsibilities:

Lead Newsroom Function

Requirements:

<li>10+ years of experience in journalism, editorial, or corporate storytelling.</li>
<li>Experience building or running a newsroom, editorial platform, or content program for a corporate brand.</li>
<li>Strong reporting and storytelling skills with the ability to uncover meaningful narratives within complex organizations.</li>
<li>Exceptional writing and editing ability across multiple formats.</li>
<li>Experience collaborating with communications, media relations, and social media teams.</li>

The Opportunity MacDowell, America&rsquo;s first multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a Director of Institutional Giving (D-IG) for a full-time, hybrid position based in our New York City office and gallery space starting in May 2026. Since its founding in 1907, MacDowell has provided crucial time and space to more than 9,500 artists working across a variety of disciplines. MacDowell Fellowships have supported James Baldwin, Celine Song, Meredith Monk, Isabel Sandoval, Michael Chabon, Bebe Miller, Paula Vogel, Faith Ringgold, and many others in creating their enduring works of the imagination.The Director of Institutional Giving works under the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to secure foundation, corporate, and government funding as part of a dynamic and collaborative Development team that raises $4 million+ annually. The Director will function at a senior level to develop strategies and long-term partnerships to sustain and grow institutional funding from current and prospective funders.
