Take strategic ownership of major editorial and product launches, coordinating across Editorial (including Social, Newsletters, Audio, and Video), Product, Marketing, Paid Media, and Revenue to execute cohesive, data-informed rollouts.</div></li><li><div>
Own newsletter strategy guardrails to support growth while reducing inbox overload, and collaborate on acquisition and engagement testing.</div></li><li><div>
Work closely with Consumer Revenue on CRM and email marketing strategy, user journey and inbox experience, and paywall testing and optimization, balancing editorial priorities with commercial objectives.</div></li><li><div>
Support <i>The New Yorker&rsquo;s</i> Puzzles &amp; Games business, affiliate revenue initiatives, and other emerging products, advising on their role in audience growth, engagement, and subscription retention.</div></li><li><div>

Skills and Qualifications</div><ul><li><div>
Undergraduate degree in a related field (journalism, communications, marketing, analytics, business) required; graduate degree a plus.</div></li><li><div>
10+ years of experience in the media industry, with a strong understanding of digital audience growth and subscription-based business models.</div></li><li><div>
Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders across teams you do not directly manage.</div></li><li><div>
Deep experience in paid marketing strategy, testing, and optimization.</div></li><li><div>
Extensive knowledge of audience and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture, Parsely, and/or Chartbeat, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.</div></li><li><div>
Strong understanding of audience development channels, including SEO, AIO, social, newsletters, audio, video, and apps.</div></li><li><div>

   Book Selections: Assist with the Selections process, including maintaining our book database, drafting editorial copy, and conducting data analysis of book performance.

   Editorial Operations: Draft and execute licensing agreements, input Editorial content into company systems, and assist with components of hardcover and audiobook production

   Department of Cultural Arts &amp; Sciences: Support the coordination and execution of cross-functional business initiatives, including original print acquisition and Collections.

   Allurial: Assist with Editorial and Marketing initiatives for Allurial, our Romantasy business, including reading and evaluating books, executing on ads and creative, and managing our influencer program
