Preparing and maintaining accurate electrical design drawings using 2D and 3D tools.</li><li>
Supporting the development of design concepts into complete documentation sets.</li><li>
Checking and verifying designs for completeness, clarity, and accuracy.</li><li>
Creating and maintaining organized records of design files, revisions, and supporting documentation.</li><li>
Updating design documents throughout project life cycles.</li><li>
Using standard processes and tools and assisting in developing new processes and tools for the reuse of technical solutions.</li><li>
Assisting in the development of design templates, libraries, and symbols / components.</li><li>
Participating in design reviews and incorporate feedback from engineering leads or project managers</li><li>
Mentoring junior designers or drafters in best practices and tool usage where appropriate.</li><li>
Communicating effectively with team members, vendors, and clients to resolve design issues.</li></ul>

Qualifications for the role
<ul><li>You enjoy working with 2D and 3D modelling software for projects in the industrial market</li><li>
Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2D</li><li>
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit 3D</li><li>
Familiarity with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and cable routing.</li><li>
Familiarity of electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE, CSA) is a plus.</li><li>
Ability to generate accurate bills of materials (BOM), reports, and documentation.</li><li>
Certification in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks Electrical) is a plus.</li><li>
Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical design / drafting, preferably in an industrial, commercial, or construction environment.</li><li>
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mechanical, structural, and civil designers)</li><li>
Experience interpreting and developing electrical control systems and single-line diagrams.</li><li>
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.</li></ul>
