Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:</div></div><div><ul><li>
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as passenger loading bridges/gate services in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments.
</li><li>Observe devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate and diagnose causes of trouble.
</li><li>Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists or other lifting devices, hand tools and power tools.
</li><li>Examine form and tester of parts to detect imperfections. Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
</li><li>Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using proper equipment/tools, as needed.

</li><li>Install special functional and structural parts in devices using hand tools.

</li><li>May use cutting, brazing, or welding equipment to repair equipment, as required.

Job Duties
 
Remodel administrative, clinical and research office space, clinical and basic science research labs and vivarium areas at main campus and satellite facilities.
 
Read, understand and comply with local and state building code regulations (NFPA 70E and NEC).
 Read and understand blueprints for remodeling of office spaces, labs and vivarium facilities.
 Generate an electrical materials list and order materials.
 Run conduit from sizes ½” to 4” EMT and rigid. Make proper conduit bends that comply with the NEC. Install various types of receptacles, light switches, and wire mold in offices spaces and labs.
 Install new (low voltage through 480V) transformers and panels to upgrade existing electrical system ensuring adequate space and the equipment is up to the NEC.
 Follow safety procedures by the NFPA and OSHA.
 Pull wire sizes in the appropriate conduit size in accordance with the NEC. Ensure appropriate number of wires / sizes are pulled in the correct sized conduit to meet the NEC and allow additional circuits to be added if required.
 Install and terminate wire circuits in transformers, panels and motor starters. Work with Energy Management department to set up equipment controls to operate off the building energy management system.
 Install receptacles, light switches, and wire mold in offices spaces and labs. Coordinate with clinical and research personnel to make sure the correct equipment plug receptacle is installed accessible to the equipment served.
 
Preventative maintenance, testing, recording of all electrical systems at main campus and satellite facilities.
 
Read and use electrical specifications to ensure the proper electrical system is installed for equipment.
 Schedule work accordingly with office or lab personnel and other trades.
 Use knowledge in the connection and use of electrical system recording equipment including the Fluke 1785 which we use for recording all forms of electrical anomalies and read and write a report of issues found.
 Perform electrical preventative maintenance on motor starters (120V to 480V) and repair or replace any defective part.
 Perform infrared thermography on all electrical panels, transformers and motor starters to ensure proper operation and that there are no hot spots on the system. Operate various infrared cameras, understand readings, and download data collected.
 
Upgrade lighting systems for main campus, satellite facilities and vvarium facilities.
 
Install Lutron and Leviton light sensors and relays to existing or new lights, and program sensors and relays ensuring compliance with the current City of Houston building codes.
 Calculate square footage and ceiling height to know what foot-candle the lights need to be when replacing fluorescent light fixtures with the new LED light fixtures in accordance with the Department of Energy guidelines.
 Upgrade existing exterior lights with new LED lights for efficiency and with more light (lumens) for a more secure area. Work with the Energy Management department to connect all exterior lighting to building management system so the exterior lighting can be controlled from the central plant by the energy management or stationary engineer personnel.
 Replace light ballasts of all types of lighting, either incandescent, fluorescent or halogen in all lighting applications, including lay in fixtures, can lights, under counter lights or exterior pole lights.
 Order light bulbs, ballasts or fixtures for replacement; ensure some in stock so any and all of our lighting system components can be repaired or replaced in a timely manner.
 Remove and crate light bulbs for Environmental Safety recycling.
 Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
 Minimum Qualifications
 High School diploma or GED.
 Four years of relevant experience.
 State of Texas Journeyman Electrician License.
 Department-specific Requirements

<li>Applies expert knowledge and training from high voltage test equipment to identify root causes for SMA's internal quality 8D reports.</li>

<li>Uses expert knowledge to determine correct courses of action after conducting DGA sampling and obtaining results from DGA reports.</li>

<li>Regularly works with high voltage DC, three phase power, high AC voltage, and related software/firmware of SMA products.</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
 Education: (None)
 Licenses/Certifications: Certified in Basic Life Supportissued by (AHA) American Heart Association within 90 days of employment.
 
Experience / Knowledge / Skills: 
<ul>
<li>One (1) year of prior patient care experience (e.g. Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician, or Patient Care Technician) or similar rolerequired, preferably in an acute care setting.</li>
<li>Proficiency in all Core Competencies of the PCT I and II position as noted in Memorial Hermann’s PCT Competency Based Tooland as validated by Memorial Hermann Clinical Education no later than the end of orientation.</li>
</ul>
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

<li>Provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.</li>
<li>Direct patient care duties include but are not limited to vital signs (pre and post treatment, as applicable), visual monitoring of a patient’s condition, hygiene support, toileting support, mobility support, nutrition support, bathing support, charting, and other activities of daily living as needed.</li>
<li>Responsible for timely and accurate documentation of information. Should appropriately report any unusual changes or findings to the nurse.</li>
<li>Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrates safe work practices and attitudes; follows safety rules; works to prevent unsafe conditions and behaviors; participates in organizational departments’ safety programs; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Obtains and prepares laboratory specimens as prescribed within the scope of the role.</li>
<li>Helps orient new employees as appropriate.</li>
<li>Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.</li>

This position performs daily inspections of production equipment and product to ensure the highest standards are maintained and follows established procedures to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

<li>Follow appropriate quality testing procedures and take action to meet product specifications (e.g., product testing, label review, in-process testing).</li>
<li>Monitor the facility during operations to ensure sanitation conditions are maintained.</li>
<li>Monitor operations to ensure quality programs, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Food Quality requirements, are followed.</li>
<li>Perform daily pre-operational inspections of equipment to verify sanitation was completed properly and take corrective action when deficiencies are identified.</li>
<li>Audit process control points to ensure all system controls have been achieved and follow established procedures to address deficiencies.</li>
<li>Document all audits, test results, and inspections on the appropriate forms daily.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.</li>
<li>Complete other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Requirements</h3>
<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li>
<li>1&ndash;3 years of experience in the food or beverage industry preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or laboratory role within the food industry is a plus.</li>
<li>HACCP training preferred.</li>
<li>Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications for reporting and recordkeeping.</li>
<li>Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with peers and management.</li>
<li>Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.</li>
<li>Ability to stand for extended periods.</li>
<li>Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.</li>
