What You'll Do

Lead Infrastructure Reliability and Performance
<br><br>
Provide engineering leadership for the operation, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of campus mechanical infrastructure systems.
<br>Support central utility plants, HVAC systems, utility distribution networks, energy systems, and building automation controls.
<br>Investigate and resolve complex facility and infrastructure challenges through technical analysis and practical problem-solving.
<br>Develop long-term solutions that improve equipment reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency.

Drive Energy and Sustainability Initiatives
<br><br>
Identify opportunities to improve energy performance, reduce operating costs, and enhance system efficiency.
<br>Develop business cases and technical justifications for infrastructure upgrades and modernization projects.
<br>Partner with Energy Management and Central Plant teams to implement operational best practices and optimize system performance.
<br>Analyze utility and equipment performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Support Capital Improvements and Engineering Projects
<br><br>
Provide technical expertise for facility infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.
<br>Review designs, specifications, and engineering studies prepared by outside consultants and engineering firms.
<br>Collaborate with Facilities Services and Capital Projects teams to ensure solutions align with operational requirements and institutional standards.
<br>Provide field oversight during equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and startup activities.

Serve as a Technical Resource

Act as a key engineering liaison between Facilities Services, institutional leadership, researchers, clinicians, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
<br>Provide expert guidance regarding infrastructure capabilities, system limitations, and operational impacts.
<br>Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, equipment records, and technical standards.

Under the direction of higher level staff, conducts screening and interviews to evaluate patient eligibility in study.

Responds promptly and accurately to customer complaints, inquiries, and requests for information and coordinate appropriate follow-up calls and/or appointments.
</li><li>Schedules research subject appointments for tests and procedures, such as laboratory tests, x-rays, and other studies specific for the research protocol.
</li><li>Compiles patient information, process, document and enter accurate information in Source Documents, Case Report Forms, Electronic Data Capture portals and Clinical Trial Management System following established procedures.

Maintains records for clinical study and regulatory documents.
