We're hiring an <b>Enterprise Solutions Engineer</b> to own the technical motion in complex enterprise deal cycles. This role partners directly with Account Executives to drive new business and expansion, assisting with discovery, shaping technical strategy, and running proofs-of-concept that align to the buyer's security, identity, and implementation criteria.</p>
<p>
This is not a demo jockey role. You are responsible for the technical win&mdash;from first technical conversation through POC success and into a clean, confident handoff to post-sales. You'll stay engaged through implementation to ensure what was sold is what gets delivered, on time and against the buyer's stated objectives.</p>

TRC is seeking a Director of Architecture &ndash; Geospatial Solutions to lead the architectural vision, design, and delivery of enterprise and operational geospatial solutions for clients in the utility, infrastructure, and environmental sectors. This role is responsible for defining end-to-end geospatial solution architecture that integrates GIS platforms, spatial analytics, enterprise IT systems, and operational technologies to support planning, operations, asset management, and decision-making.</div><div></div><div><br>
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in GIS architecture, spatial data platforms, enterprise integration, and cloud-based geospatial solutions, and is comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders, delivery teams, software vendors, and regulators to drive transformational, data-driven outcomes.</div>
Responsibilities:
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Geospatial Architecture &amp; Strategy</b></h3><ul><li>
Define and evolve enterprise geospatial architecture frameworks aligned to business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.</li><li>
Lead architectural design for large-scale GIS and geospatial platforms, including Esri ArcGIS Enterprise/Online, spatial data warehouses, utility network models, and location intelligence solutions.</li><li>
Ensure interoperability and integration between GIS, enterprise IT systems (ERP, EAM, CIS), analytics platforms, and operational systems.</li><li>
Provide architectural leadership for initiatives involving digital twins, asset and network modeling, field mobility, spatial analytics, and geospatial enablement of utility operations.</li><li>
Support raising TRC&rsquo;s profile as an industry leader in geospatial innovation by developing marketing artifacts, authoring industry articles or blogs, and presenting at conferences.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>

Lead and support proposal responses by defining solution architectures, writing key technical sections, and supporting cost estimates and delivery approaches.</li><li>

Data Governance, Security &amp; Compliance</b></h3><ul><li>
Ensure geospatial solutions align with data governance, privacy, and security requirements, including access controls and data lifecycle management.</li><li>
Partner with cybersecurity and data governance teams to assess risks and define controls for enterprise and cloud-based geospatial environments.</li><li>
Support compliance with industry standards and client-specific regulatory requirements related to spatial data and infrastructure systems.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master&rsquo;s degree or MBA preferred.</li><li>
12&ndash;15+ years of experience in geospatial/GIS architecture, delivery, and leadership within utilities, infrastructure, engineering, or related industries.</li><li>
Deep technical expertise in GIS platforms (e.g., Esri ArcGIS Enterprise/Online), spatial databases, and utility network or asset data models.</li><li>
Strong background in systems integration, enterprise architecture, data architecture, and API-based integrations.</li><li>
Experience designing and delivering cloud, hybrid, and on-prem geospatial solutions, including spatial analytics and visualization platforms.</li><li>
Familiarity with data governance, security, and resiliency considerations for enterprise geospatial environments.</li><li>
Proven experience leading vendors, RFP processes, solution evaluations, and partner relationships.</li><li>
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex geospatial concepts for executive, technical, and non-technical audiences.</li></ul><div><b>
