This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and engaged team as the Department of Counseling prepares CACREP accreditation to further strengthen its graduate programs and student outcomes. The Clinical Director role includes an additional stipend and a course release to support administrative and programmatic responsibilities associated with field experience coordination. <li><b>Teaching Responsibilities:</b> The standard graduate faculty teaching load is 21 credits (7 courses) per academic year. This position includes a course release to support administrative and programmatic responsibilities related to the Clinical Director role. Teaching assignments will focus on field experience courses such as Practicum and Internship.</li>
<li><b>Grant-Funded Initiatives:</b> Provide opportunities for student engagement in grant-supported programs, including program development and student support services.</li>
<li><b>Student Placement &amp; Site Relations:</b> Lead and manage the practicum and internship placement process, including working directly with students to secure and finalize appropriate field placements that align with program requirements. Maintain consistent communication with clinical sites and oversee the placement process from initial coordination through completion of the field experience.</li>

<br>Reporting to the Director of Counseling and Wellness and the Head of Upper School Student Life, the Upper School Psychologist/Counselor partners with Student Life to support students in Grades 9–12, advancing their social, emotional, and psychological well-being in a rigorous academic environment.
<br>The Psychologist/Counselor brings expertise in working with adolescents and families, providing individual and small-group counseling, delivering classroom instruction, and collaborating with administrators on student needs and division-wide initiatives. They work closely with teachers, grade heads, and advisors to promote well-being, strengthen relationships, and foster an inclusive school culture.
<br>This role is part of a K–12 team of mental health professionals collaborating across divisions to ensure continuity of care and shared best practices.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
<br>The ACT programs provide an integrated set of evidenced based treatment, rehabilitation, case management and support services to individuals residing in NYC, in Shelter programs, and/or living in supportive housing programs or their own residences in the community who are diagnosed with severe mental illness and whose needs have not been well met by more traditional service delivery approaches. Through a mobile, multi-disciplinary team of staff, recipients are supported in their recovery through an individualized, person-centered model of care.

<b>POSITION OVERVIEW:</b><br>
This multi- faceted position works directly with adults living with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) and substance use disorders (SUD) living in NYC. In addition to providing direct care, this position provides administrative oversight and support to the treatment team to ensure the delivery of services is in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements. Clinical Coordinators use a recovery oriented approach to link recipients to the services they need to obtain housing and to achieve wellness self-management and increasing independence. The HLPS Case Manager (a &ldquo;CM&rdquo;) is an essential team member that develops and executes housing navigation and placement services including follow-up post placement for clients referred by NYC Health + Hospitals (H+H). The CM meets with the client in person to develop a housing plan and complete the housing packet and works to support the client to find and move into permanent housing. The CM checks in at consistent, regular intervals during and post move-in/placement and will help the client renew their lease or reapply for vouchers if necessary. The CM will document all interactions, activities, and status changes. The CM will also coordinate services with other contacts to support the client as needed, including shelter/safe haven housing specialist, H + H care team, etc. and as needed, referrals to external providers.
