 The Mayor&rsquo;s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor&rsquo;s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
 
 
 The Criminal Justice Unit handles both expense and capital for criminal justice-related agencies in NYC. It includes expense oversight of the District Attorney's Offices, Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, Public Administrators, and the public defenders while capital projects include renovation and construction of all courthouses.
 
 
 
 Job Description
 
 
 
 The intern could be working on several projects for the unit. The Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice has over $800M in human services contracts and the unit would like to create a dashboard of spending by contract that can be updated regularly. The CJ Unit will also be undertaking a heavier monitoring process of the 18-B/Assigned Counsel Program to monitor state revenue claiming and spending. Projects would overall allow the intern to understand how court and the criminal justice operations operate and what that means for the City budget.

Position Description:
The Photography department seeks an intern to collect, research, enter, and fact-check object
and provenance information on works in the photography collection. The intern's tasks will
include organizing records for incoming photographs and reviewing records from throughout the
history of the department. The goal in both cases is consistency and accuracy, which will entail
checking records against original objects. This project is most suitable for an intern with strong
interest in the history of photography and in the registrarial side of curatorial work.

The Collection Information Department is looking for an intern interested in developing data skills by contributing to an ongoing project of inventorying and listing a large print collection. Working with items in hand, tasks include matching descriptive records to items in the collection, creating records in CORSAIR, the Morgan's collections database, and generating thumbnails for each print. The intern will learn about the data structure of the Morgan's collection descriptions, and, depending on skills, will be invited to contribute to designing user-friendly access to this large collection. Working under the supervision of the Director of Collection Information and instructed by members of the Department, the intern will participate in the day-to-day activities of collection information specialists and in the larger institutional life of the Morgan. The intern is also expected to contribute to any and all data projects that become a priority for the Department during the period of the internship.

Who we are looking for
ISLG is recruiting up to 1 CUNY Law Student to work on a variety of projects, including projects focused on
<ul><li>Partnering with city agencies to implement a variety of policy initiatives and programming;

</li><li>Developing fellowship programs; and
</li><li>Collecting and analyzing data from various sources (jails, community partners, health and mental health service providers, municipalities, etc.) in connection with research and evaluation projects. 
</li></ul>Specifically, we are seeking an intern to support the Legal Department on a range of legal and policy matters, including:
<ul><li>Assisting with drafting legal documents such as grantee contracts, data use agreements, amendments, and memoranda;
</li><li>Reviewing project-specific materials, including scopes of work, requests for work proposals and submissions, and other program materials;
</li><li>Participating in meetings and calls with internal teams and external partners about legal and policy matters;
</li><li>Supporting the Legal Department in reviewing and drafting policies and procedures, including data security policies; and
</li><li>Assisting the Legal Department with administrative support, including developing and updating legal templates, organizing project files, and other matters as needed.
</li></ul>The core of this internship is creating community and peer-to-peer learning among ISLG interns; to foster community we will have bi-weekly in-person convening that will cover a range of topics such as relationship building, project management, participatory policy making, etc.
We are hiring interns to work at ISLG from May 26 to July 30, 2026. Interns will have a hybrid work schedule and report to a designated ISLG staff member. Interns will work on a range of tasks to support the projects listed above as well as others not listed here.
 
 
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you, if you are/have:
<ul><li>Currently enrolled in CUNY&rsquo;s Juris Doctor (JD) program with strong academic standing
</li><li>Ability to commit to a consistent schedule of approximately 35 hours per week for the internship period
</li><li>Ability to attend peer-to-peer credentialed in-person weekly sessions, currently anticipated to be scheduled on Wednesday&rsquo;s from 9:00am-11:00am
</li><li>Ability to work from the CUNY ISLG office in Manhattan on certain days, in coordination with the Legal team
</li><li>Personal, professional, or academic knowledge of any of the following fields/areas: public interest law, contract law, criminal legal reform, police reform, data-driven research and evaluation, peer leadership development, restorative justice, gender-based violence, community engagement, youth development, and violence intervention

Position Overview
Under the direct supervision of the MLTC Clinical Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist Intern is responsible for reviewing the Uniform Assessment System-NY (UAS-NY) assessments to support the data analysis, monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities within the Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) department. This position will conduct ongoing analyses that will support MLTC operations in five key areas: regulatory compliance, care management, quality/performance measurement, special projects/grants, and administrative functions. The role will support the strategic goals of the MLTC department to ensure that all MetroPlus MLTC and MAP members receive appropriate services. The role requires working knowledge of Tableau, MS Access, and MS Excel; SQL preferred.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul><li>Review Lenavi reports and trends in the UAS assessment within Lenavi, quality analysis software to improvement risk scores.</li>
<li>Analysis of varying analysis reports derived from the UAS assessment to reduce inconsistencies and to meets quality standards and accuracy following MetroPlusHealth policies and NYS regulations.</li>
<li>Provide feedback to the management team regarding trends noted in assessment contents, completion rates, and timeliness of assessment nurses.</li>

<li>Performs extraction, import, and export of data from diverse data sources including various database applications.</li>
<li>Measures and tracks key performance indicators and targets to effectively monitor department activities including productivity and quality outcomes.</li>
<li>Prepare various reports and correspondences as well as provide summary reports to highlight key findings for implementation of performance improvement plans.</li>
<li>Provide feedback to the management team regarding trends noted in assessment contents, completion rates, and timeliness of assessment nurses.</li>
<li>Prepare technical guides on opportunities to improve access to care by providing visibility to the clinical teams.</li>
<li>Assist with special projects assigned to meet departmental goals and policies.</li>
<li>Oversee varying reports for quality initiatives.</li>
<li>Report weekly to management on reporting trends.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned</li>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nursing, public health, health administration, business administration, or information technology preferred. Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required.</li>
<li>Prefer experience and knowledge of Managed Care plan operations or Health Services administration.</li>
<li>A minimum of two years&rsquo; analytics, programming, application, or reporting development experience is required.</li>
<li>Experience analyzing various types of data and processes in a versatile manner including ability to present findings and make recommendations.</li>
