Book of the Month is seeking a Social Media Manager who is equal parts content strategist and community builder, with a sharp, creative eye and a deep understanding of social platforms. This role sits at the intersection of creative, strategy, and marketing, leading the development and execution of a thoughtful social content strategy that drives business growth while elevating our brand presence.

 Develop and iterate upon social strategy that defines a clear set of business objectives and tests content strategies that achieve those goals

 Own and manage the social media editorial calendar across all platforms

 Concept, create, and publish high-impact, platform-native content for TikTok, Instagram (Reels, Stories, Feed, threads), YouTube Shorts, and emerging channels

 Act as a curator of culture, staying attuned to new ideas, broader trends, and industry shifts, and translating insights into smart, on-brand BOTM content
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage the briefing process with content creators and internal designers to produce content that meaningfully connects with our audience, measured by strong attention metrics (likes, comments, views, etc).

 Hold the camera and/or be on the camera, capturing and creating great content yourself
 </li>

 Write clever, engaging captions that consistently reflect BOTM&rsquo;s brand voice and point of view

 Stay closely aligned with upcoming campaign strategies and book releases to identify and deliver impactful ways to translate core messaging across social channels

 Lead daily community engagement across all channels, including comments, tags, hashtags, and paid social comments

 The Role:
 
 
 
 The Community Relations Manager will grow Milk Makeup&rsquo;s online and offline community, driving engagement, loyalty, and earned media value. This role blends strategy and execution &ndash; developing creative community programs while managing influencer relationships, product seeding, events, and engagement initiatives. Through 360 cross-functional collaboration with PR, marketing, creative, and operations teams, the Community Relations Manager will ensure a cohesive brand experience and optimize strategies based on campaign performance to drive conversion and ROI.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 What YOU&rsquo;ll do:

 Collaborate closely with the Director of PR &amp; Community Engagement to develop and execute best-in-class community engagement strategies and initiatives, including events, paid influencer programs, product seeding, and creator partnerships.

 Manage end-to-end strategic partnerships with key creators to support product launches and business objectives, including product shipments, contract negotiations, briefing, content approvals, and payment processing.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively identify, nurture, and maintain strong relationships with creators, makeup artists, VIPs, and other key members of the Milk Makeup community.
 </li>
 <li>
 Plan and execute impactful creator events and experiences, managing guest lists, pre-event logistics, and on-the-ground execution.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and manage the cultural calendar and influencer engagement programming to ensure ongoing, meaningful interactions with the community that drive EMV and brand loyalty.

 Continuously source emerging creators and culturally relevant voices aligned with the brand.

 Work with cross-functional partners to ensure events and experiences deliver strong brand storytelling and meaningful creator engagement.

 Organize and maintain internal campaign tracking documents, influencer media kits, media briefs, talent rosters, and rate sheets.

 Support the communication and rollout of global community engagement initiatives, partnering closely with global agencies and local market teams to ensure consistent and impactful execution across markets.

 Drive 360 cross-functional collaboration with teams including Social, PR, Ecommerce, Growth, International, Retail, Operations, and Creative to align on community and creator campaigns and ensure integrated brand storytelling.

 Address community feedback and resolve issues quickly to maintain a positive, engaged brand community.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support operational processes including CreatorIQ management, maintaining the marketing calendar, managing creator product orders and restocks, and coordinating inbound community inquiries.

 Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for PR and community engagement campaigns, including EMV, engagement, reach, and creator performance, using insights to inform future strategy.
