Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position facilitates planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ.</li><li>
Ensure all Environmental Regulatory requirements are met.</li><li>
Ensure compliance to all CM, PM tasks.</li><li>
Support and prepare for Shutdown Planning and Turnaround Planning.</li><li>

Act as the Single Point of Contact when dealing with internal issues of the HYCO units, representing APQ and coordinating internal resources. Provide timely progress updates to the customer.</li><li>
Facilitate attainment of operations excellence and customer satisfaction via operations productivity, reliability, quality, cost reduction, services, continuous improvements, and meeting of budgets.</li><li>
Maintain a relationship with the customer&rsquo;s counterparts from other Refinery Units where from APQ either receiving Feedstock, Utilities &amp; Power or supplying Hydrogen and Steam to different Refinery Units on a regular basis through Refinery Shift Superintendent to ensure alignment of expectations for APQ and the customers current and future product demand.</li><li>
Fully accountable to ensure his logs and that his operator&rsquo;s logs are accurate and compliant with published matrix.</li><li>
Accountable to view all IOW Event Manager Logs and ensure proper actions have been taken on a daily basis.</li><li>
Accountable to personally inspect all Active Leaks each shift and update any degradation in his report.</li><li>
Accountable to audit, review and assign action each day for the logs from his operators.</li><li>
Accountable to complete his team&rsquo;s Work List on daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.</li><li>
Accountable to ensure implementation of issued mitigation plans for all Emergency and High level (Safety Risk/Environment Risk/Availability Risk/Utilization Risk/Energy Risk) log items.</li></ul>
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations preferred. An associate technical degree (2 year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence.</li><li>
Experience in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in operations, engineering, and/or a maintenance function. Demonstrated HYCO knowledge a plus, with a minimum of 10 years&rsquo; experience with 4 + years in line supervision of process operations roles.</li><li>
Expectation based on level of experience for the operations team to achieve a &lsquo;Level 1 / Board Level&rsquo; status within 2 &ndash; 4 years. Operators will be evaluated during the training period and placed at the level of competence accordingly. All the operations team are considered field and board operators when Level 1 is achieved. Leadership positions are expected to follow the progression process.</li><li>
The HYCO Operations Supervisor is an extension of the operating team and is expected to engage in plant operations when required.</li><li>

The HYCO Operations shift Supervisor is accountable for managing and supervising the operations shift team including shift leads and operators for BHIG facilities which include a Hydrogen Steam Methane Reformer, a CO2 Removal Unit &amp; CO2 Compression, HPSA, Membrane Unit, related Utilities and pipeline network. Report production progress and plant status to the Shift Supervisor and suggest solutions for any shortfalls. Manage plant production efficiently based on input provided by Plant Management to ensure safety and reliability targets are met to achieve maximum profitability.</li><li>
Ensure BHIG standards, and global best practices for EH&amp;S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met.</li><li>
Meet the customer&rsquo;s requirements regarding safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility regarding product supply. Maintain customer communications and relationships at the &lsquo;board&rsquo; level, ensuring customer demand rates are satisfied while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the facility.</li><li>
Follow the Site Work Instruction Manuals for production &amp; supply of Product H2, CO2 &amp; Steam along with other operating and maintenance procedures and checklists to meet the customer&rsquo;s satisfaction with safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply while compliance with requirements.</li><li>
Maintain a relationship with the customer&rsquo;s counterparts from other Refinery Units where from BHIG either receiving Feedstock, Utilities &amp; Power or supplying Hydrogen and Steam to different Refinery Units on a regular basis through Refinery Shift Superintendent to ensure alignment of expectations for BHIG and the customers current and future product demand.</li><li>
Constantly monitor all process variables (flows, temperatures, pressures, levels, analytical values) via DCS to ensure they are within defined operating limits.</li><li>
Manipulate control loops, setpoints and cascades to maintain sable operations of all integrated units.</li><li>
Use historical data and trends to predict equipment performance degradation, identify inefficiencies and prevent potential trips and failures.</li><li>
Execute &amp; supervise the detailed start up sequence for the entire plant or individual units/loops form a cold condition, warm condition or hot stand by condition, ensuring a smooth &amp; safe transition to full load normal operations. Assist in the commissioning activities of the facility</li><li>
Maintain constant communication with field operators, providing instructions for equipment adjustments, isolations and rounds.</li><li>
Liaise with the maintenance team to co-ordinate equipment preparation for maintenance (isolation, purging &amp; blinding) and safe taking equipment back in line.</li><li>
Conduct detailed and accurate shift handovers with incoming operators, highlighting any abnormalities, ongoing work and special instruction. Follow shift turnover protocols to ensure a safe and efficient handover to the following shift.</li><li>
Maintain accurate and timely logs of operating parameters, significant events and production data. Fully accountable to ensure his logs and that his operator&rsquo;s logs are accurate and compliant with published matrix.</li><li>
Identify the root cause of process deviations and equipment malfunction. Work with engineers to implement long-term solutions.</li><li>
Suggest and participate in operational improvements and de-bottlenecking projects to enhance safety, reliability and profitability.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with all CM, PM tasks &amp; Environmental Regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Support and prepare for Shutdown Planning and Turnaround Planning.</li><li>
Provide coaching and motivation with the field operations team to achieve operational excellence and customer satisfaction.</li><li>
Establish &amp; maintain close working relationships with engineering and maintenance personnel to continuously monitor &amp; evaluate plant systems &amp; equipment performance.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with process safety, MOC&rsquo;s, and OPHR requirements.</li><li>
Provide operations support and participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis to identify &amp; implement sustainable corrective actions.</li><li>

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations with 10 years&rsquo; experience preferred. An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence.</li><li>
Experience in DCS Operation &amp; Field Operation, with minimum of 5 years&rsquo; Lead DCS Operations experience in SMR based Hydrogen or Ammonia or Methanol or Syngas plant as DCS Operator.</li><li>
Proficiency with DCS platforms (e.g. Yokogawa Centum VP, Siemens PCS 7)</li><li>
Deep understanding of Chemical Engineering Principles, thermodynamics and process control. Wide technical knowledge in operations, engineering, and maintenance activities</li><li>
Ability to maintain high level of awareness and make sound decisions under pressure.</li><li>
Strong problem solving and diagnostic abilities.</li><li>

Operations and Maintenance<ul><li>
Ensure the safety of all operations and maintenance personnel by utilizing the APQ Basic Safety Practice program, which includes Safety Work Permits, LOTO, Confined Space, etc. The position facilitates planning, organizing, auditing, and follow-up, to build the Air Products safety culture into the APQ. Meet the customer&rsquo;s satisfaction on safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility on product supply.</li><li>
Responsible for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written or oral instructions from Superintendent.</li><li>
Ensure that maintenance notifications in SAP are carried out correctly. Verify SAP notification on field and approved with basic data i.e. functional location, malfunction description, damage code, priority, and hazard information.</li><li>
Participate in pre-work visits with Maintenance and Contractors to identify risk activities.</li><li>
Ensure each work permit related documents are prepared and handed over to the team.</li><li>
Participate in preparing maintenance or process shutdowns and turnarounds i.e. scope of works, prioritization of notifications (define consequences of malfunctions in terms of sector availability).</li><li>
Participate in area daily meeting and share the maintenance plan with team to ensure all equipment&rsquo;s are prepared for scheduled maintenance works (corrective and preventive).</li><li>
Participate in maintenance plan daily meetings with the Maintenance Leader and Planners to analyze daily notifications, and to contribute to the updating of the weekly maintenance schedule.</li><li>
Ensure equipment&rsquo;s readiness for maintenance activity and after completion back to operations.</li><li>
Manage and organize regular equipment testing and routine preventive Maintenance.</li><li>
Participate in the marking priority maintenance activities to guarantee the reliability and operational continuity of equipment and to agree the date of repair.</li><li>
Release and ensure all work permit precautions and required conditions are fulfilled, maximize safe work permit practices by healthy communication &amp; frequent site visits, ensure zero permit deviation</li><li>
Manage interface with all support departments for maintenance activities</li><li>

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering a minimum.</li><li>
10 years minimum in gas, petrochemical, or related industries in operations, engineering, and/or maintenance function. Air Separation and /or Steam Methane Reformer Operations a plus.</li><li>
6+ years in line supervision of process operations roles.</li><li>
Proven coordination experience in a multi team environment which includes operations, engineering, and maintenance.</li><li>
Good leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively throughout all levels within the organization and externally.</li><li>

Ability to communicate and manage customer interactions on a daily basis.</li><li>
