The Opportunity
The Plant Manager &ndash; Sheldon serves as the senior operational leader for the facility and is accountable for the safe, efficient, and reliable performance of the operation.

The Process Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, integration, configuration and programming, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of DCS, SIS, PLC and other process control-related equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation at the Houston Chemical Plant.
Our Team
This individual will be a member of the Process Controls Team that reports into our Transformation Manager. The team works closely with the Operations, Process Engineering, Asset Management Teams to ensure safe, reliable and efficient process control performance while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
The Process Controls Team is an onsite support team and follows a 9/80 work schedule. Team members are expected to climb ladders and stairs, such as those in a plant operating area to have access to all the equipment onsite. The team supports work afterhours with an &quot;on-call&quot; weekly rotation to provide immediate remote &amp; on-site support. Additional work hours may be necessary for outages &amp; turnarounds supporting shutdown, execution, commissioning &amp; 24/7 start-up activities.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Operations Manager to lead and coordinate daily operations within our steel fabrication facility. This role is responsible for aligning project execution, production, quality, and scheduling to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of steel fabrication processes, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. 
Job Description<ul><li>
Collect and coordinate project information from Project Management, Production, Quality, and other departments to develop and maintain an integrated, shop-wide production schedule</li><li>
Create and manage a global operations schedule that maximizes efficiency, minimizes idle time, and provides clear project visibility</li><li>
Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed due to delays, changes, or projects placed on hold</li><li>
Oversee day-to-day shop operations, ensuring workflow alignment between departments</li><li>
Identify operational bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement; collaborate with leadership and shop teams to implement solutions</li><li>
Proactively identify critical path risks and capacity constraints and develop mitigation plans</li><li>
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies</li><li>
Support production planning, labor allocation, and resource utilization</li><li>
Communicate effectively with internal teams and leadership to provide updates on production status and operational performance</li></ul> 
Skills Required<ul><li>
Minimum 5+ years of experience in operations or production management within a steel fabrication. (Complex bridges and hydraulic structures is a plus</li><li>
Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, including cutting, welding, fitting, machining, painting, and shipping</li><li>
Proven experience in production scheduling and workflow optimization</li><li>
Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, project schedules, and production metrics</li><li>
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li><li>
Proficient in Microsoft Project, ERP/MRP systems (We us Tekla EPM), and Microsoft Office (Excel required)</li><li>
Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on management style</li></ul>
Preferred:<ul><li>
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a job-shop environment</li><li>
Familiarity with AISC standards and quality management systems</li><li>
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus</li></ul> 
Education/Training/Certifications<ul><li>
High School Diploma or Equivalent</li></ul>

Pay Rate/Salary<ul><li>
