Job Description 
MS NOW is looking for a video podcast editor to join our team. This role will work across the unit to support multiple projects and ensure high technical standards by editing tape across a variety of video platforms (from longform horizonal podcasts to &ldquo;Reels-style&rdquo; vertical videos), audio mixing, and filming.
This role starts early in the production process: helping to set up the tech for remote and in-person interviews, troubleshoot connection and technical problems, and positioning talent and guests to ensure the highest quality recording. This person will also ingest audio and video files, plus prepare edit sessions for the team of producers. In the final stages of the process, it is this person&rsquo;s responsibility to ensure podcasts are beautifully cut and delivered to spec.
The video podcast editor should be extremely detail-oriented, while also knowing how to work fast. It&rsquo;s essential to have a mastery of advanced video and engineering techniques and be comfortable troubleshooting when something goes wrong. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable collaborating with our audio engineer on pieces, as the majority of MS NOW&rsquo;s podcasts live on both audio-first and video-first platforms.
An interest in news and politics is vital to the success of this role, as is knowledge of journalistic best practices. The video engineer will report to the Senior Production Manager and collaborate daily with producers and other team members.

 Role Overview
 
 
 
 We're looking for a hybrid creator-and-coordinator to sit at the intersection of our social content engine and our influencer program. This role is equal parts hands-on maker and behind-the-scenes operator: you'll shoot and edit native content for our owned channels, and you'll run the day-to-day of our influencer and gifting program &mdash; casting, outreach, sending product, tracking performance, and building relationships with the creator community that already loves our brand.
 
 
 
 
 
 You're the person who can produce a scroll-stopping TikTok in the morning, brief a creator over lunch, and pull a performance report by end of day. You care as much about how a piece of content feels as how it performs.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 
 Social Content Creation

 Concept, shoot, and edit native content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Pinterest, and emerging platforms

 Comfortable in front of the camera and ready to star in some of the content you create

 Own a weekly content calendar including product launches, moments, trends, and always-on content
 </li>

 Capture behind-the-scenes, product-focused, styling, and lifestyle content in-house and on location

 Edit vertical video in CapCut, Premiere, or equivalent &mdash; sound design, pacing, captions, effects

 Stay ahead of platform trends, audio, and formats; translate what's working culturally into on-brand execution

 Collaborate with the brand and creative team to ensure content is aesthetically consistent with the broader brand world

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 
 Required

 2&ndash;4 years of experience in social content creation, influencer marketing, or a hybrid role &mdash; ideally at a fashion brand or creator-led business
 </li>
 <li>
 A portfolio of native short-form video content you've personally shot and edited (please share links or reel in your application)
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in TikTok and Instagram &mdash; you know what's trending before it peaks, and you understand platform-native language, pacing, and format
 </li>
 <li>
 Hands-on experience running an influencer or gifting program: outreach, briefs, contracts, tracking
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong project management instincts &mdash; you can juggle 10+ creator relationships and a content calendar without dropping details
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written communication (creators, agents, and internal partners all get different tones from you)
 </li>
