Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Coordinator. 
 
The Center for Psychedelic Medicine (CPM) at NYU Langone Health is seeking a Research Coordinator to lead study coordination in an ongoing NIH funded Phase 2, randomized controlled clinical trial for Opioid Use Disorder. The Research Coordinator will also participate in other clinical trials within CPM as needed and work collaboratively with the Research Project Manager (RPM), the Principal Investigator (PI), and the study team to meet study goals. The Research Coordinator will coordinate day-to-day study operations and participant activities. The Research Coordinator will also be responsible for tracking study milestones, managing participant recruitment, and coordinating all study activities in conjunction with the PI and other team members. The candidate will be expected to work with a high level of independence. 


Job Responsibilities:

Study Coordination: Works with the RPM and PI to develop study operations and achieve study goals, including participant recruitment and retention targets. Contributes to development of study-specific SOPs. Coordinates study activities through open communication with research team, RPM, PI, clinical staff and site staff. 


Participant Recruitment: Collaborate with Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) site staff on recruitment efforts. Review candidates for eligibility, completing necessary questionnaires, assessments and data entry. Maintains patient confidentiality. 


Research Visits: Conduct participant study visits, which includes scheduling, conducting informed consent, coordinating with other study team members, completing and administering assessments and other study procedures at baseline and follow-up visits, and coordinating subject reimbursement. Assist licensed clinicians in conducting study-specific visits and interventions. 


Participant Tracking: Track participant flow through the study; update tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner; schedule participants for study visits; send retention letters as needed. 


Data Management: Review inputted data; resolve all data queries; obtain missing data; document all data accurately and according to protocol. Manage and delegate data entry to junior staff and volunteers as necessary. 


Regulatory Oversight: Management of study binders, and IRB records. Work with IRB staff to create, submit and modify IRB submissions as necessary. 


Reporting and Communication: Communicates with the RPM and PI in a timely manner regarding protocol deviations, safety events, data queries, and study supplies. Establishes internal and external weekly team meeting and shares status of assignments and follow-up of action items. 


Protocol Compliance: Ensure that study activities are carried out in accordance with the protocol, HIPAA and GCP, including but not limited to participant research visits, follow-up, and required documentation. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of study rationale, inclusion/exclusion criteria, and procedures associated with the study. 


Budget: Responsible for issuing participant reimbursement and compensation payments as per study protocol. Will maintain participant payment logs and review for accuracy and compliance. 


Oversight of junior team members: Assist with oversight of junior team members/volunteer training, tasks, and coordination of volunteer schedules. 


Other: Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications: 
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field. 
Minimum of two years of progressively responsible project coordination experience, preferably in a research setting.
 
Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. 
Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. 
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

 Launched in 1993, the award-winning Midtown Community Justice Center is one of the country&rsquo;s first problem-solving courts. It provides alternatives to fines and jail as a response to low-level crime. Seeking to reduce crime and incarceration, and increase public trust in justice, the Midtown Community Justice Center works with neighborhood stakeholders to improve Midtown Manhattan, and to serve the vibrant Midtown community, specifically those in need of services. The Justice Center&rsquo;s court responds creatively to low-level offending, seeking sentences that are restorative to the defendant and community. In addition, the Justice Center works upstream and outside the courtroom through diversion initiatives, street outreach, and community engagement.
 
 
 The Midtown Community Justice Center is seeking a Temporary Youth Engagement Specialist to lead the Justice Center&rsquo;s work with young people from Amsterdam Houses and the surrounding community. Reporting to the Community Partnerships Coordinator, the Youth Engagement Specialist will play a key role in both developing and overseeing youth programming at Amsterdam Houses and supporting the Justice Center&rsquo;s broader community engagement initiatives across the borough of Manhattan. By working with community stakeholders, local leaders, community-based organizations, and the young people themselves, the Youth Engagement Specialist will seek to understand quality of life and public safety challenges for the community then co-lead the Justice Center&rsquo;s programming built in response to those findings. This role will, among other things, provide tangible support and coaching to the program members, and will support residents, community partners and local city agency representatives through the process of identifying and solving issues that create vulnerabilities in community safety and well-being. The Youth Engagement Specialist will also be principally tasked with supporting the Justice Center&rsquo;s Youth Advisory Board. The Youth Advisory Board is comprised of a group of young people dedicated to providing feedback and helping inform the Center&rsquo;s programming to remain responsive to community trends.

The salary range for the role is $66482.07 - $74250 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. Operations Coordinator - Genetics / Genomics

<div>Description
The Clinical Research Coordinator assists in the daily activities of clinical research studies, obtains informed consent; collects, maintains and organizes study information. Assists in preparing grant applications and documents (for e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office). 
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Collects and records study data. Inputs all information into database.</li><li>
Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements.</li><li>
Assists in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, administering lifestyle questionnaires.</li><li>
Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings.</li><li>
Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures. Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.</li><li>
Secures, delivers and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.</li><li>
Prepares for monitoring visits.</li><li>
Performs other related duties.</li></ul> 

Qualifications<ul>
<li>Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or closely related field.</li>
<li>No experience required. One year of research experience preferred.</li>
