<p>Stanley Consultants is looking for a Resident Project Representative with construction engineering experience for our Chicago, IL office.</p>
<p>
This person will work on large public infrastructure projects assisting the Senior Resident Engineer or serve as Resident Engineer on smaller municipal and federal aid funded projects. Project owners include IDOT/CDOT/ISTHA and various municipalities. A licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.</p>
</div>
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>What You Will Be Doing:</b></h3><div>
<ul><li>Monitor contractor&rsquo;s performance for workmanship, schedule, and contract requirements.</li>
<li>Prepare reports, coordinate progress meetings with the contractor and owner, and manage the shop drawing review process.</li>
<li>Make calculations and document work in a format that can easily be checked by others.</li>
<li>Monitor internal budgets.</li>
<li>Ensure staff compliance with the Group Safety manual.</li>
<li>Resolve contractor&rsquo;s questions and drawing clarifications.</li>
<li>Assist the Business Development Manager or others with marketing, interviews, and proposal preparation.</li>
<li>Maintain positive client relationships.</li>
<li>Anticipate and resolve issues and concerns promptly from the owner, contractor, residents, public officials, and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Mentor younger engineers and technicians.</li>
</ul></div><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Required Qualifications:</b></h3><div>
<ul><li>PE or ability to obtain PE upon required 4 years of experience.</li>
<li>Minimum of 5+ years of experience on construction management projects.</li>
<li>IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification and IDOT Erosion Control Fundamentals and Inspection Modules.</li>
<li>Excellent visualization, communication, and documentation skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).</li>
<li>Ability to multitask effectively and work independently, while collaborating with other team members and managers.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and time management abilities.</li>
<li>General knowledge of construction techniques and an ability to read plans and specifications.</li>
<li>Proven ability to distribute learned knowledge to other Resident Project Representatives, Construction Observers, and Material Testing Technicians.</li>
<li>Ability to assist Construction Manager/Resident Engineer with many of their tasks and be able to fill the Construction Managers/Resident Engineer&rsquo;s role temporarily in their absence.</li>
<li>Aptitude to act as a positive representative of Stanley Consultants, Inc. core values and an active participant in an outside professional organization.
</li><li>Experience performing field engineering duties for IDOT/ISTHA/CDOT projects.</li>
<li>Experience leading other staff.</li>
<li>Knowledge of field surveying.</li>
<li>Proficient in Construction Materials Management System (CMMS), CDOT CMQA, and Trimble Unity Construct.</li>
