<div>At Houston Methodist, the Senior Medical Assistant Certified (Sr. MA) position is responsible for functioning as an expert and demonstrates highly competent knowledge in the more technical and advances examinations and treatments necessary to communicate appropriately and carry out delegated medical assistant level tasks under the direct supervision of a Physician and/or Registered Nurse for assigned patient populations, for providing high quality support of patient care and services. Responsibilities</div><ul><li>
The primary role of the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) is to assist the dentist as necessary to gain the patient&rsquo;s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency</li><li>
Actively participate in the Perfect Patient Experience&Ocirc; by striving to keep your patients focused on optimal treatment while attending to their individual needs and concerns</li><li>
Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient, quality dental treatment</li><li>
At the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate</li><li>
At the direction of the dentist, instruct patients on postoperative and general oral health care.
</li><li>Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines</li><li>
Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)</li></ul> 
Qualifications<ul><li>
Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration</li><li>
Certifications/licenses/registrations as mandated by applicable state (e.g. coronal polish, radiograph exposure, ultrasonic scaling for orthodontic procedures, pit and fissure sealant application, etc)</li><li>
Associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred</li></ul><div>

Registered Dental Assistant

MD Anderson Cancer Center

<div>The Patient Care Technician on the G16 Leukemia unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. 
 
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, a CNA certification and at least one year of patient care experience. The candidate must be available to work a combination of two 12-hour shifts and two-eight hour shifts each week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Evening/Night shift from 7:00pm - 7:00am, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, and 11:00pm - 7:00am. 
 
G16 Leukemia is a specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia. Hematology patients are hospitalized for supportive care during active, aggressive high-dose chemotherapy/biotherapy and cellular therapy through a wide range of morbidity related symptoms, as well as re-hospitalization for treatment side effects. Leukemia care includes diagnosis, induction, consolidation, maintenance chemotherapy and symptom management, as well as salvage therapies for relapsed disease.
 
 
Hourly breakdown of salary range: 
Minimum $18.27 - Midpoint $22.84 - Maximum $27.40

Patient Care Technician - G16 Leukemia

<div>The Patient Care Technician position on the G11 Hospital Internal Medicine Unit at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse, and directly impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. 
 
Ideal candidate must have a high school diploma and either one year of recent experience in an acute care setting as a Nursing Assistant or a CNA certification. 
 
The department has both shifts available; 3/12 hour shifts, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotating weekends and holidays. 
 
A 30-bed inpatient unit providing care to adult medical oncology inpatients with a diagnosis of solid tumor malignancies; primary services include genitourinary, breast, and internal medicine. Patients require nursing interventions for the management of chronic and acute disease related symptoms, pain control, treatment related side effects; chemotherapy and biotherapy administration: patient and family teaching.
