The Sr. Manager is responsible for Protein Diagnostics sales across territories in US and Canada for Thermo Fisher Scientific. This includes supervision of 5-7 direct reports made up of Area Sales Managers and direct reporting sales staff.
The position reports directly to the Sr. Director, North America Commercial for PDX and sits on the PDX North American Leadership Team. Role is responsible for achieving established revenue objectives for immunoassay and protein diagnostic products.
Directly responsible for PDX's largest customers in North America and whom also hold a prominent position among the top accounts globally. The team secures and maintains high-impact customer relationships while achieving revenue growth objectives.
In partnership with upline leadership, position is responsible for recruiting and hiring high-quality sales, support and technical sales representatives to ensure a strong talent pipeline, and will lead, coach, train and develop sales managers to build a strong, progressive and highly motivated sales team.
Location: North America (Remote). The position is remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in the United States, ideally located on the West Coast or in the Northeast.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential duties and responsibilities</h2><ul><li>
Develops, implements, and monitors a regional sales strategy for all product lines, aligning with broader company goals, market trends, and customer needs.</li><li>
Sets and monitors national sales targets, pipeline health, and regional territory performance to drive accountability and revenue achievement.</li><li>
Builds a collaborative environment across National Accounts and Regional Sales Teams to secure and grow business with IHNs, GPOs, and Commercial Reference Laboratories.</li><li>
Leads cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Scientific Affairs, Market Development, and Technical Support teams to ensure consistent messaging, product positioning, and field readiness.</li><li>
Stays current on the competitive landscape, evolving clinical guidelines, and customer trends to inform strategic decisions and product development.</li><li>
Manages national sales budgets, prioritization, and commercial initiatives to increase return on investment and operational efficiency.</li><li>
Fosters high-level relationships with KOLs, Lab Executives, and Executive Stakeholders to reinforce Thermo Fisher&rsquo;s leadership in protein diagnostics.</li><li>
Prepares reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends, presenting findings to senior management and providing strategic insights.</li><li>

Qualifications and requirements</h2><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree required (business or scientific field preferred).</li><li>
5+ years of relevant commercial diagnostic sales, including 3 or more years of management experience required.</li><li>

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $143,900.00&ndash;$215,900.00.

Qualifications
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>3+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales within digital advertising, martech, or SaaS</li>
<li>Proven success in full-cycle partnership development, from initial prospecting and pitching to contract execution</li>
<li>Strong commercial acumen and experience supporting complex negotiations on revenue share, incentives, and marketing commitments</li>
<li>Proven track record managing cross-functional launches, scaling partner programs, and driving growth projects in dynamic tech environments</li>
</ul>
Preferred Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of paid media platforms and SMB advertising models, preferably with experience from a major digital advertising platform or partner ecosystem</li>
<li>Familiarity with API-driven advertising platforms, attribution workflows, partner automation tools, and complex third-party integrations</li>
<li>A strategic thinker with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, able to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution</li>
<li>Exceptional relationship management, communication, and presentation skills for varied audiences.</li>
<li>Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to use data to measure impact and forecast growth.</li>

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $75- $120.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

 to own and grow our customer relationships from onboarding through renewal and expansion. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of customer success, revenue, and strategy and who loves working directly with creative teams.

 Responsibilities

 Own a book of business from onboarding through renewal, with a focus on retention, expansion, and long-term customer success
 </li>

 Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, running onboarding sessions, monthly/quarterly check-ins, and on-site visits when needed

 Deeply understand customer workflows and goals, ensuring Shade is delivering clear and measurable value

 Identify upsell, cross-sell, and expansion opportunities in partnership with the CEO and sales team

 Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback and recommendations on product roadmap, marketing, compliance, and timelines

 Build and maintain customer-facing documentation, playbooks, and internal processes
 </li>
 <li>
 Help define and improve account management processes, health metrics, renewal workflows, and revenue forecasting

 Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and marketing to put customer needs first

 Support events, tradeshows, and customer meetings as Shade continues to grow its presence in the creative industry

 Qualifications

 3+ years of experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or post-sales roles (experience with project manager/productivity or creative software is a plus)

 Comfortable working in an early-stage environment and helping build processes from the ground up
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong ability to manage relationships, drive renewals, and uncover expansion opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing to be hands on, from onboarding calls to flying out for customer meetings
