The New England College of Optometry invites applications for a limited part-time tutor position.

Job responsibilities include assisting final-year optometry students and recent alumni with Part 3 boards exam preparation. This includes review and practice of patient encounter cases and clinical skills assistance at the New England College of Optometry 424 Beacon Street Campus. Patient encounter assistance can take place over Zoom, while clinical skills assistance including slit lamp exam, Goldmann applanation tonometry, 4-mirror gonioscopy, dilated biomicroscopy and binocular indirect ophthalmoscopy would take place in person at the Beacon campus.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<ul><li>Function as a customer service liaison to patient and family members.
</li><li>Promote a philosophy of patient/family focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel and focus on understanding and meeting the customer&rsquo;s needs.
</li><li>Provide hospital/unit information for all customers upon request while maintaining confidentiality.
</li><li>Perform administrative support functions for the Emergency Department and Observation Units.

High school diploma or equivalent required, partial college or secretarial school preferred.</p></li><li><p>
