The Role
The Senior Account Executive will play a key role in one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a financial services company. The Account Executive will work in lock-step with our internal team and client counterpart to support in concepting, managing, and executing a series of high-end hospitality events for client customers. The role includes research and brainstorming on culinary, sports, entertainment, arts, culture, and destination &ldquo;money can&rsquo;t buy&rdquo; event concepts that will be compelling to the client and event attendees.
This position will require an extreme level of attention to detail, strong organizational habits, and a passion for event planning and hospitality. This role will require event attendance, and the ideal candidate will feel comfortable acting as a &ldquo;host&rdquo; at events; engaging in professional conversations with clients and guests alike, and going the extra mile to deliver a memorable experience for customers.
Responsibilities
<ul><li>Draft and deliver presentations to &ldquo;sell in&rdquo; event concepts to the client, including event research, planning, and initial budgeting.
</li><li>Prepare and share strong and thoughtful POV&rsquo;s on best practices and recommendations for the client.
</li><li>Develop &amp; manage detailed timelines, run of shows, inventory lists, and contact lists for each event.
</li><li>Liaise with various vendors and partners for event services (i.e., content capture, A/V, transportation, catering, gifting, etc.).

Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $72,000 - $88,000. This position is also eligible for benefits and a discretionary bonus. The Chief Legal &amp; Compliance Counsel will be a forward-thinking, solutions-oriented leader who brings both legal rigor and practical judgment, enabling CUCS to grow responsibly and sustainably.

Legal Strategy &amp; Counsel</h3>

Serve as the principal legal advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, and Executive Leadership Team.

Provide proactive counsel on strategic initiatives, organizational growth, and partnerships.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, and agreements with vendors, funders, and partners.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Advise on nonprofit governance and maintain compliance with 501(c)(3) requirements.

Provide counsel on employee relations, labor law compliance, and internal investigations.

Provide legal support for real estate acquisitions, leases, financing, and development agreements.

Oversee HDFC formation packages, filings, and sponsor reviews for supportive housing projects.

Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies for CUCS-owned and managed properties.

Manage risk assessment and mitigation across programs and administrative departments.

Oversee outside counsel for litigation and specialized legal issues.

Conduct legal reviews to minimize exposure and strengthen compliance.

<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Board &amp; Executive Support</h3>

Prepare and review legal materials for Board meetings.

Advise on bylaws, policy development, and governance responsibilities.

Juris Doctor (JD) and admission to the New York State Bar (or eligibility for in-house counsel registration).

10+ years of progressive legal experience, with exposure to government, nonprofit, real estate, or supportive housing sectors preferred.

Expertise in contracts, governance, employment/labor law, and compliance.
</li><li>
Strong strategic thinking and the ability to offer practical, business-minded legal advice.
