We invite you to join our Finance team at RES as an <b>FP&amp;A Summer Project Associate</b>, based out of our Houston, TX office or any other office as indicated in this posting, contributing to regional and corporate objectives while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the finance domain.</p>

As an FP&amp;A Summer Project Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting both regional and corporate objectives. Your responsibilities will include assisting in P&amp;L forecasting, analysis, cash flow management, and internal reporting. The practicum provides a unique opportunity to comprehend the intricacies of regional P&amp;L reporting packages and present forecasts to key stakeholders, including the regional General Manager and Senior Project Managers.</p>
<p>
The practicum will run from <b>end May to end August</b>, with a certain degree of flexibility which depends on your schedule and availability. You can expect working between 30 and 40 hours a week in your period with us.</p>

<p><b>What your day-to-day might look like:</b></p>
<p>
Data Gathering and Analysis:</p>
<ul>
<li>Collect and organize financial data from various sources.</li>
<li>Dive deeper in the historical financial performance to identify trends and patterns.</li>
<li>Utilize tools and software to process and interpret financial information.</li>
</ul>
<p>P&amp;L Forecasting:</p>
<ul>
<li>Contribute to the preparation of Profit and Loss (P&amp;L) forecasts.</li>
<li>Work closely with the FP&amp;A team to understand the factors influencing financial projections.</li>
<li>Identify and report on key drivers impacting revenue and expenses.</li>
</ul>
<p>Cash Flow Management:</p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the development and enhancement of cash flow forecasting models.</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members to track and analyze cash flow trends.</li>
<li>Contribute to the evaluation of working capital requirements.</li>
</ul>
<p>Internal Reporting:</p>
<ul>
<li>Support the creation of internal financial reports for management review.</li>
<li>Summarize financial data and trends into clear and concise reports.</li>
<li>Participate in discussions and presentations related to financial performance.</li>
</ul>
<p>Procedure Documentation:</p>
<ul>
<li>Document FP&amp;A department procedures and best practices.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of standardized processes for financial analysis.</li>
<li>Ensure that documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible to team members.</li>
</ul>
<p>Ad Hoc Projects:</p>
<ul>
<li>Participate in special projects and analyses as needed.</li>
<li>Take on additional responsibilities to support the evolving needs of the FP&amp;A team.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>We would love to hear from you if you have many of the following:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related field.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets for financial analysis.</li>
<li>Familiarity with financial software or tools (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.</li>
