Review their receivable portfolio status, conduct routine aging reviews, and recommend appropriate collection strategies to drive measurable improvement in outstanding balances. Conduct meetings, as needed, to review aging, establish timelines, and reinforce accountability.</li><li>
Establish working relationships with assigned clients to review outstanding balances and resolve issues impacting payment. Provide requested documentation (i.e., copies of invoices, statements, ledger balances, etc.) to expedite payment and ensure accounts remain in current receivable condition. When appropriate, negotiate payment arrangements in coordination with the Collections Manager and responsible attorney.</li><li>
Document and record collection activity and status using the firm's collection system. Schedule follow-ups with clients and attorneys; run daily receivable reports and generate account statements as requested.</li><li>
Investigate and analyze client payment history, billing trends, and portfolio aging to determine the next level of follow-up and identify accounts at risk for escalation or write-off. Proactively recommend recovery strategies when appropriate.</li><li>
Partner with the Accounting Department to assist with the cash application process and review payments received and posted to client accounts to ensure accuracy and timely reconciliation.</li><li>
Identify receivables that may be uncollectible and review with the Collections Manager for potential write-offs. Prepare supporting documentation and analysis of collection efforts when required.</li><li>
Notify the Collections Manager and attorney of any invoice/balance being disputed by client and coordinate resolution.</li><li>
Collaborate with billing staff to ensure accuracy and timely transmittal of invoices. Research e-billing statuses to facilitate resolution of issues and ensure timeliness of approval and payment. Partner with the Billing Department to coordinate resolution.</li><li>
Responsible for reviewing and preparing analytical receivable reports, including aging movement and portfolio performance summaries, to support informed collection strategies.</li></ul><p><b>

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</b></p><ul><li> Posts transactions involving cash receipts, disbursements, and/or accounts payable and accounts receivable to ledgers.</li><li> Posts journal entries and verifies the availability of funds.</li><li> Reviews program contracts, budgets and budget amendments, and revisions for conformance to federal, state, and local government accounting requirements.</li><li> Prepares trial balances or periodic summary statements to verify the equality of debits and credits or to determine account balances.</li><li> Audits vouchers submitted for reimbursement by examining contracts, budgets, balance sheets and other documents to determine if costs are allowable.</li><li> Verifies computations on voucher extensions and waivers to contract provisions.</li><li> Interprets contract provisions in order to identify allowable and non-allowable expenditures.</li><li> Calculates totals and determines the appropriateness of supporting documentation.</li><li> Resolves problems regarding budget limitations, allocations, or modifications and prepares necessary documentation.</li><li> Provides technical assistance on the preparation of documents for reimbursement to contractors, subcontractors or other agencies.</li><li> Maintains control ledgers, prepares routine financial reports and approves vouchers for payment.</li><li> May assist in preparing departmental program and operating budgets.</li></ul><div></div><div><i><br>

<div><p>As an Accounting Advisory Senior Associate, you will be responsible for teams that consult with clients on complex accounting transactions. You will help clients address their transactional, regulatory, and strategic needs &mdash; all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. More specifically, support on complex accounting matters arising from regulatory or strategic business changes such as adoption of new accounting standards, accounting framework conversions, IPO or other public offering assistance and on-call accounting advice, among others. You&rsquo;ll build relationships with clients and your project teams, and engage client stakeholders to identify, assess, and deliver substantiated advice because together is how we succeed.

</p><p><b>Your day-to-day may include:
</b></p><ul><li>Leading multiple engagements and consult on complex accounting transactions
</li><li>Consult on technical accounting matters including adoption of new accounting standards, preparing technical accounting positions, and providing support around transaction audit review
</li><li>Provide transaction accounting support for transactions including business combinations, carve-outs and initial public offerings
</li><li>Preparation of financial statements and SEC filings including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks and preparation of pro-forma financial views
</li><li>Assisting clients in getting ready for first time audits or providing audit readiness support
</li><li>Provide on-call assistance
</li><li>Ensuring work is performed timely, with quality, and in compliance with regulatory requirements
</li><li>Identifying market trends in order to be a proactive problem solver and sought-after adviser to clients and colleagues
</li><li>Training and supervising less experienced colleagues and providing consistent, regular feedback

</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related disciplines required; Master&rsquo;s degree a plus
</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in providing financial statement audits, accounting advisory services, or corporate accounting/finance center of excellence experience focusing on complex accounting transactions
</li><li>CPA license is preferred
</li><li>Working knowledge in: Accounting standards including ASC 606 and/or ASC 842, Complex debt, equity, and employee compensation topics, Audit readiness support, IPO process or other capital transactions such as debt offerings or private placements, Organizational restructuring including acquisitions, carve-outs, or spin-offs and post-deal accounting, GAAP conversations, Financial instruments
</li><li>Analytical and technical skills including proficiency in US GAAP, SEC reporting rules and standards, accounting transactions, or mergers and acquisition services
</li><li>Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities
