 The Division of Veterans Services {IDVS) is recruiting for temporary Nursing Assistants to support our dedicated team of health care professionals at the State Veterans Home in Boise.
This opening is for a temporary 24 - 32 hours per week position and includes a full state benefits package.
Temporary employees work a maximum of 1,385 service hours in a twelve (12) months period.
 We are seeking candidates who have a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and are organized and driven to provide exceptional care.
This position offers tuition assistance, including support to help you earn your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification. Upon hire, employees in this role will work towards completing Idaho Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training and obtain certification, with resources and guidance available to support your success every step of the way.
Responsibilities:
<div>&bull; Cleaning resident rooms including changing bed linens, folding towels, and arranging nightstands, closets, and dresser drawers
 
<ul><li>Cataloging resident's personal items
</li><li>Labeling, sorting, and distributing resident clothing
</li><li>Stocking resident rooms and storage areas
</li><li>Transporting residents to the dining room, therapy gym, and activity areas
</li><li>Answering resident call lights
</li><li>Assisting in the dining room
</li><li>Performs other duties as deemed necessary

 OVERVIEW AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (While remote, must reside in Idaho)
 
 
 
 The Administrative Assistant is responsible for processing incoming and outbound enrollment and other paperwork with high accuracy; as determined and/or directed by Acumen, the state or the contract and all updates of the contract. The Administrative Assistant will assist the Executive Director with tasks related to enrollment, training and ongoing customer service for employers and employees

 Interacts with program employers and employees as directed by phone and electronically.
 </li>
 <li>
 Train employers and employees on how to use a phone app and computer portal.
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedule appointments and manage a google calendar.
 </li>
 <li>
 Receives, sorts, scan, upload, and retrieves forms, correspondence and documents of confidential and time-sensitive nature.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manages, distributes and tracks program specific materials as needed and/or requested.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains a specified filing system.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works well independently with limited supervision, communicates with Executive Director or designee when questions arise.
 </li>
 <li>
 Uses strategic thinking to complete multiple tasks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conducts thorough and accurate review of applicable paperwork.
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrates a working knowledge of and abides by contract, state and Medicaid specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify and share opportunities for process improvements and improved working conditions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Willing to work other than typical work hours and days to meet high volume demands.

 Performs other work related activities as assigned.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS At least two years of experience in customer service. High School diploma and some college courses, college degree preferred. Must be able to effectively handle heavy volume of paperwork at one time. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a professional manner. Accuracy and the ability to handle responsibility with limited supervision. High standard of integrity. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, task oriented, good interpersonal skills. Patience, perseverance, and follow through skills. Ability to handle conflict and difficult customers. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple demands successfully. Must be able to plan for and meet multiple deadlines. Ability to use all office equipment. Knowledge of advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite applications Ability to work with dual computer monitors and multiple applications.
