Ensure all drivers and other Transportation department associates are appropriately trained in job duties as well as safety and legal responsibilities.</li><li>Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates by discussing performance with Sr. Transportation Managers and creating plans to address gaps.</li><li>Create an atmosphere in which upward communication is encouraged, and motivate associates to achieve department goals and objectives.</li><li>Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates within the Transportation department. Anticipate, analyze and troubleshoot problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and legal solutions; act to implement same. Ensure team understands and adheres to DOT regulations.</li><li>Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently.</li><li>Conduct routine Safety and Driver Meetings.</li></ul>
Oversee maintenance of driver qualification files.<br>

Qualifications:</b></p>
<ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or sufficient education, training, and experience to perform the duties of the position
</li><li>Some experience (2-3 years) in general secretarial work (graduation from business school or similar academic course may be substituted for one year of experience)
</li><li>Some experience and/or training in automated management information systems is required
</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
</li><li>Some experience in dealing effectively with the public is highly desirable
</li><li>Some other qualifications as may be desirable and appropriate</li></ul>
<p><b>
Essential Duties:</b></p>
<ul><li>Serve as point of contact for visitors and callers to the school
</li><li>Screen and determine the nature of calls or visits
</li><li>Type with speed and accuracy a variety of routine and complex documents, reports, forms, and correspondence
</li><li>Use of school software system and financial procedures to maintain ledgers and other financial documents, recording receipt and expenditure of school funds
</li><li>Assist school officials with various administrative and student-related activities such as registration, calling absentees, preparing reports, contacting parents, checking out students, etc.
</li><li>Operate various types of office equipment such as copiers, computer terminals, fax, etc.</li></ul>

<li>Maintain complete and accurate medical records for patients using appropriate labeling system.</li>

<li>Serve as a liaison for inquiries, directing them to the appropriate person for resolution.</li>

<li>CPR certification preferred.</li>
<li>One year of inpatient unit secretary experience preferred.</li>
<li>Active enrollment in a healthcare program (such as nursing), familiarity with medical terminology, and experience in reading and transcribing medical orders are preferred.</li>
