Job Overview:
As a Community Association Manager, you&rsquo;ll provide strong leadership and management direction on behalf of the Board of Directors and FirstService Residential. You'll serve as a liaison to the community, enhance communication, enforce legal compliance, and oversee operations of the association and staff management.
This opportunity is available in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois.
Your Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Develop recommendations for community goals and lead action plans to achieve Board objectives.</li><li>
Provide community leadership and guidance to ensure that the needs or desires of the homeowners are being addressed.</li><li>
In partnership with the Board, create and implement the annual working budget. On a monthly basis, monitor and report on the financial position of the association.</li><li>
Ensure due diligence for the protection of client&rsquo;s funds, property, and assets against all reasonably foreseeable contingencies or losses.</li><li>
Provide leadership to each meeting involving the Board of Directors in terms of agenda support and written and oral reports. Summarize the priorities of each meeting with appropriate follow up.</li><li>
Maintain a level of service excellence in all interactions with residents, vendors, staff, and colleagues with knowledge and enforcement of the Community Governing Documents.</li><li>
Assess and monitor community needs: identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods and procedures and developing new programs. Select and collaborate with external vendor partners to implement programs or improvements.</li><li>
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise all community staff in accordance with the documented management plan. Evaluate and make recommendations for efficient and effective support of the community.</li><li>
Work closely with local emergency organizations to maintain established emergency and community evacuation plans as appropriate.</li><li>
Perform building inspection of interior and exterior of property. Maintain on-site visibility throughout common areas and facilities.
</li><li>In accordance with the Illinois Condo Act and FirstService Residential policies, comply with all codes and regulatory requirements for the property, including assessing and correcting any violations received by various regulatory agencies.</li></ul>
Skills &amp; Qualifications:<ul><li>
Active Community Association Manager license in the state of Illinois.</li><li>
Understanding of physical building management, Condominium law, financial planning, and law affecting property management.</li><li>
Works effectively with coworkers, clients, customers, and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; addresses problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions.</li><li>
Possess budgetary knowledge and control for the purpose(s) of executing programs within the community as well as related activities that may be cost-shared for the benefit of the community.</li><li>
Must possess a high energy attitude and an ability to multi-task/prioritize different projects at any given time.</li><li>
Superior oral and written communication skills.
</li><li>Community management experience or equivalent professional experience in a related field strongly preferred.</li></ul>
Supervisory Responsibilities<ul><li>
Supervise management office and association staff members. Where applicable, association staff may be members of local unions.</li></ul>

 The night assistant news editor is responsible for running the Sun-Times&rsquo; news coverage in the evenings. Position: Patient Care Technician &ndash; Nursing Assistant, Cardiac Tele</li><li>
Location: Swedish Hospital, Chicago</li><li>
Full Time (36 hours per week)</li><li>
Hours: Nights (7p-730a); every other weekend and rotating holidays required</li><li>
Required Travel: May float to other inpatient units as needed.</li></ul>
What you will do:<ul><li>
Provides care to patients on assigned nursing unit under the direction of a Clinical Nurse Manager.</li><li>
Communicates effectively with patient, families, visitors, and members of the health care team in a respectful manner.</li><li>
Understands how to use and uses standard precautions with all patients as well special precautions that may be ordered for the patient based on the pathology diagnosed. This includes the use of all personal protective equipment.</li><li>
Assists with patient hygiene based on the level assistance the patient requires.</li><li>
Assists with meeting the elimination needs of the patient which includes helping patients to the bathroom or use bedside commode</li><li>
Sets up the patient room for a new admission by placing new ECG cables and leads on the counter along with SPO2 cable (critical care) and disposable blood pressure cuff</li><li>
Assists the RN in admitting new patients by attaching the ECG cables and pulse oximetry and taking initial vital signs. This includes patients with Covid-19.</li><li>
Assists in providing for nutritional needs of the patient by helping them eat, if needed.</li><li>
Assists with ambulating and range of motion for the patient.</li><li>
Follows policies and procedures related to patient and staff safety.</li><li>
Follows safe patient handling guidelines and demonstrates proper use of lifting and other patient safety equipment.</li><li>
Accurately documents vital sign monitoring (temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure) as well the results of point of care blood glucose monitor (Accu-Check) in the patient&rsquo;s electronic medical record (EMR).</li><li>
Properly cleans all multi-use equipment between care of patients.</li><li>
Uses standard fall and high risk precautions on all patients based on need and direction by the RN.</li><li>
Performs rounding and repositioning with assigned patients every two hours.</li><li>
Regularly communicates with the RN regarding any changes in the patient&rsquo;s vital signs or any observations of the patient/family and any tasks assigned.</li><li>
Maintains clinical competency which is tested each year by Nursing Education</li><li>
Performs 12-lead ECG on patients as directed by the RN</li><li>
Proactively organizes, and stocks nursing unit with patient care supplies.</li><li>
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality</li><li>
Empty, measure and record output in all Foley bags/colostomy bags as directed by the RN and at the end of the assigned shift.</li><li>
Gather all required linen before beginning the bathing or cleaning of patient.</li><li>
Perform Accu-Check quality controls daily at Midnight</li><li>
In along with housekeeping, empty trash from patient rooms, nursing station, hallway, medication room and store room at the end of the shift.</li><li>
Assists nurses in admitting patient, which includes setting up the room, transferring patient to bed.</li><li>
If no PCT scheduled for the next shift check vital signs on all patients at the end of shift (0700 or 1900).</li><li>
Give hand-off report to oncoming PCT before leaving at the end of shift.</li></ul>

CNA certification or Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent or completion of one nursing clinical rotation</li><li>
American Heart Association CPR Certification</li><li>
High school graduate or equivalent</li><li>
Ability to interact effectively with others</li><li>
Ability to uphold confidentiality standards appropriately</li><li>
Must communicate effectively (both written and verbally), be organized and self directed</li></ul>
