CBS News is seeking an Associate Producer, to support the production of 48 Hours limited series. This role will be instrumental in supporting the research, booking, editing and fact-checking of narrative-documentary style podcasts. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment. They should have a strong interest in legal and true-crime storytelling along with a knowledge of how to package content for digital and social platforms.</p><p></p><p><br>
This role works closely with a producer and senior producer to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of high-quality content across video, audio, and social platforms. This position reports to the Vice President of Podcast Editorial.</p><p></p><p><br>
Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>
Support production of 3-4 limited series a year.</li><li>
Coordinate scheduling, research, guest prep, and production materials</li><li>
Assist with studio recordings and day-of-production needs</li><li>
Organize media assets and manage handoff to post-production</li><li>
Lead organization of all audio materials</li><li>
Manage Descript edits</li><li>
Fact-check all episodes</li><li>
Write episode titles, descriptions, and platform metadata</li><li>
Maintain production calendars and help keep cross-functional workflows on track and ensure all deliverables meet deadlines across video, audio, and social platforms</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Qualifications:</p><ul><li>
2-3 years of experience in podcasting, writing with a journalism background.</li><li>
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li><li>
Experience creating or editing short-form social video content</li><li>
Familiarity with video and audio editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Pro Tools)</li><li>
Established knowledge of Riverside and Descript</li><li>

CBS Newspath is seeking a Producer with a strong commitment to journalism to coordinate news production and newsgathering operations for its Regional team. This position helps manage the network's response to breaking news and responds to video and editorial requests from CBS broadcasts, owned stations, affiliates, and clients. Excellent people/customer service skills are required. The Producer is also responsible for clipping and publishing Newspath video and scripts and assisting in the transmission and distribution of live video, edited video and correspondent packages.</p><p></p><p><br>

Candidate must be familiar with all major social media platforms and vehicles for engaging audiences on a digital level. This includes - but is not limited to - Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and YouTube. Part of this position&rsquo;s editorial responsibilities is to be able to spot viral and pre-trending content and turn it around for our brand. You must be well-versed in the feel and best practices for social-friendly videos (including rights &amp; clearances).</p><p>
