Position Summary

The Associate Director of Website and Brand Design reports to the Director of Strategic Communications and serves as the primary steward of Columbia College's digital presence and visual brand identity. This role is responsible for leading a comprehensive overhaul of the Columbia College website while maintaining brand consistency across all digital and print communications channels. The Associate Director will manage the Digital Content Manager and freelancers. The person in this role will collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors and stakeholders across the College to create an exceptional website user experience that reflects Columbia College's academic distinction and serves the needs of prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty and the broader community.

Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Website Management and Development
<ul><li>Lead the complete redesign and content reorganization of the Columbia College website, from strategic planning through implementation and launch.</li>
<li>Manage all aspects of the Columbia College website content using Drupal, including site navigation, content organization and ongoing content and media maintenance, as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with the Columbia College IT (CCIT) team and external vendors to ensure technical excellence and timely project delivery.</li>

 POSITION SUMMARY:
 
 The Art Director is a highly creative and strategic design leader with a solid understanding and hands-on ability to develop and execute compelling, visual design solutions across all brand touchpoints, including print, digital, and social platforms. In this role you will partner closely with the Senior Art Director to manage creative output across a high volume pipleline, ensuring work is cohesive across touchpoints and delivered at the highest standard.
 
 
 A key focus of this role is shaping and elevating the brand&rsquo;s social presence &mdash; overseeing social content development and guiding the social team to deliver compelling, culturally relevant, and on-brand storytelling.
 
 
 
 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Partner closely with the Senior Art Director to prioritize, delegate, and manage overall creative workload, ensuring projects are resourced effectively and delivered at the highest standard across all channels.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee the creative development of social-first content, partnering with the Social Media Manager and Content Creator to translate brand and campaign concepts into platform-native ideas that drive engagement and growth.
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee and guide the Social Content Creator, providing clear creative direction, feedback, and mentorship to ensure output is elevated, on-brand, and optimized for performance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure e-commerce and editorial shoots are concepted with downstream usage in mind, including social, email, homepage, and PDP content&mdash;maximizing efficiency and content output per shoot.
 </li>
 <li>
 Hold ownership over the look-and-feel, tone and manner of creative projects, continually striving to elevate the brand while ensuring thoughtful and consistent execution across all points of brand contact.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the development of concepts for photoshoot campaigns from concept to final implementation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute to the overall efforts of the internal creative department by delivering innovative campaigns, creative platforms and deliverables with solid, articulated creative strategy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Establish strategic creative solutions and develop a holistic consumer journey across multiple platforms. In addition to managing a team of direct reports, you will also manage freelance support and agency partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide direction for design and branding teams design, creative tools etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Partner closely with production teams to calendarize, schedule and staff studio e-commerce shoots and special projects, on time and within budget
 </li>
 <li>
 Motivate, inspire, and lead a robust team of creatives. Serve as a hands-on leader that drives quality and fosters a culture of innovation and pushing boundaries to create elevated and on brand assets.

 REQUIREMENTS:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 5+ years of in-house Art direction experience, with substantial exposure to a wide variety of focus areas, including brand strategy, digital marketing materials, visual design, merchandising and collateral materials
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven experience in leading and managing creative individuals
 </li>
 <li>
 Should have robust network of photographers, stylists, producers, agencies, freelancers, etc.
 </li>
 <li>
 Motivate and inspire others to achieve their best work and to create an enriching, high performance culture
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to make crucial creative decisions in a timely manner and serve as a composed and solution-oriented leader
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of digital, social, PR, experiential, emerging platforms, and the evolving media landscape
 </li>
 <li>
 Strategic and analytical thinking and know what will move the needle

 $100,000 - 130,000 base salary (This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. The base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience and qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other A+O employees.)

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Assistant Director, Career Design Lab works as part of the Career Design Lab team in advising and educating students regarding career goals, strategies and individual professional development through individual advising sessions, small group workshops and presentations. The Assistant Director works closely with the Associate Director in marketing, facilitating and evaluating programming including workshops, panels, on-campus and online recruitment events plus networking opportunities. Supporting the web-based career management system, website and online programming as well as general employer relations, the Assistant Direct also directly supervises Student Interns.

Responsibilities

Career Services Generalist
<ul>
<li>Provide school-wide programs and services for students, alumni, and employers.</li>
<li>Work in various Standing teams on long-term, school-wide projects, services, and programs as well as Agile Teams for short-term pilot projects and testing.</li>
</ul>
Program-Specific Support
<ul>
<li>Work directly with academic director and administrators from assigned program(s) for tailored support.</li>
<li>Provide career advising including individual coaching sessions to students, resume/CV critiques, and the administration of assessment inventories, mock interviews, and job search techniques.</li>
<li>Develop a repository of career development resources that is available to all SPS students (e.g. external resources as well as internally produced materials).</li>
<li>Develop initiatives focused on industry specific career outreach in targeted industries.</li>
<li>Facilitate a wide-range of recruitment opportunities for the benefit of SPS students in your assigned program(s); manage the design and delivery of recruiting activities for these students; maintain relationships to support the potential of future opportunities; uphold quality of recruiting services provided, and retain employer related data to improve the recruiting program.</li>
<li>Align qualified student talent with employer interest and needs; implement assessment based strategies to effectively cultivate student talent; manage the coordination of program-specific career events; oversee the communication between appropriate campus departments and program participants; conduct on-going assessment and provide feedback as to the effectiveness of such events.</li>
<li>Maintain the quality of resume books and processes, resume referral, and other methods of presenting students and alumni to employers; establish and enforce guidelines for student participation in the recruiting program including recruiting deadlines, procedures, and schedules.</li>
<li>May be responsible for supervising the work of one (1) or more employees.</li>
</ul>

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent related experience required.</li>
<li>3 years related experience.</li>

Preferred Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Master's degree preferred.</li>
<li>Substantial experience with career services technology in career assessment, recruitment/job boards, Applicant Tracking System (ATS), employer outreach, marketing, social media, and program and systems assessment.</li>
<li>Experience in a supervisory role including the training and development of staff is strongly preferred.</li>
</ul>
Other Requirements
<ul>
<li>Experience with career advising in higher educational setting with strong knowledge and experience with career coaching.</li>
<li>Ability to work well under pressure, balance school-wide and program-specific workload with shifting priorities and short-deadlines.</li>
<li>Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently and carefully manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously with short deadlines in a high volume environment.</li>
<li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required, particularly for building trust and effective relationships with assigned academic programs.</li>
