This role will be an integral part of the Energy Training team that manages the design, development, delivery, and administration of relevant learning programs on behalf of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services&rsquo; (DCAS) Division of Energy Management. This program prepares City facilities personnel to make energy-smart decisions that assist the City of New York in meeting its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction goals. The Assistant Director would work on site at our W. 91st location as well as remotely, with intermittent travel to SPOP&rsquo;s satellite clinics throughout New York City. They work closely with and are supervised by the Senior Vice President for Clinical Services. The AD supports SPOP&rsquo;s continued presence in Older Adult Centers, acts as liaison with NYC Aging program officers and relevant staff members, attending administrative and provider meetings, and provides supervision to a roster of LMSW/LCSW clinicians and administrative and clinical oversight of SPOP&rsquo;s satellite locations.</p><p>The successful candidate will be clinically driven, highly organized and communicate effectively across diverse learning styles. The candidate should have knowledge of evidenced-based practices, including trauma-centered modalities, group therapy and experience providing effective treatment for older adults. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full-time clinical research project manager in a high-profile, cutting-edge clinical research program on posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) under the direction of Principal Investigators Rachel Yehuda, Amy Lehrner, and Janine Flory. The project manager will be involved in research conducted by the Sinai Center for Psychedelic Psychotherapy and Trauma Research and the James J Peters VA Medical Center (Bronx). The project manager will create and execute plans for complex research projects that may include clinical trials and biological studies of PTSD. This position will include supervisory responsibility for research coordinators, and will answer to senior operations and investigative staff. The project manager will be responsible for oversight of: day to day operations of research studies, completion and maintenance of regulatory documents, facilitating project-related meetings and coordination with interdisciplinary research team. The manager will track project status and changes, notify management when issues arise, and assist with taking corrective action as needed.</p><p>
Current studies in the lab include: clinical trials of psychedelic-assisted therapies, generation of stem cells for in vitro investigations of molecular underpinnings of PTSD, meditation for PTSD, and the use of hydrocortisone for patients being treated in emergency departments following a traumatic experience.</p><b><br>
Responsibilities</b><ul><li>
