Artforum, the magazine of record for the contemporary art industry, is hiring an Associate Editor who will serve as the primary editor for columns, features, and reviews across Artforum's monthly print magazine and website. In addition to commissioning and editing short- and long-form content from staff and freelance contributors, the Associate Editor will contribute to both the print magazine and web platforms (including columns, features, interviews, and reviews) on a regular basis.</p>

Requirements:</b></p>

The Associate Editor is expected to be an exemplary editor and writer, with demonstrable knowledge of art history and contemporary art. Finely-honed editorial instincts, a flair for diplomacy, clear communication skills, an appreciation for different writerly voices/modes, punctuality with deadlines, and an ability to multi-task are imperative.</p>

<li>Edit columns and features, with emphasis on improving the relevance, clarity, and incisiveness of the argument</li>
<li>Collate and adjudicate additional proposed edits from the top-editors, fact checkers, and copy editors</li>
<li>Communicate and negotiate any proposed edits with the writers</li>
<li>Upload web columns to WordPress, including gathering images/captions, writing alt-text descriptions, and following SEO best practices.</li>

Contribute original content (including columns, features, reviews, and other content) to our print or web platforms on a regular basis as assigned and/or pitched</p>

 The Social Media Editor will execute InStyle&rsquo;s strategy, content, and audience development on social platforms. This person should be an expert at understanding Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging social platforms for their functionality, trends and user behavior with a focus on short-form video.
 <br/>
 <br/>
 This role will work closely with InStyle&rsquo;s Social Media Director, Assistant Social Media Editor, and cross-functionally with video, editorial, art &amp; photo, and sales teams in content production workflows. The Social Media Editor will be expected to attend and support InStyle during tentpole moments including awards shows, red carpets, events, parties, panels, and fashion week as needed. The Social Media Editor should also be comfortable using and understanding analytics tools and translating that data into easy-to-understand actionable guidance.

 This person should be comfortable drafting copy and expressing enthusiasm for appearing on-camera in short-form content, original series, and vodcast interviews. This role should be proficient in concepting, producing, shooting, editing and optimizing content at a high volume.

 This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week. The Social Media Editor must be willing to work occasional off-hours and weekends as necessary.

 Salary: New York: $67,000.00 - $75,000.00
 <br/>

 The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
