POSITION SUMMARY 
The Operations Manager - BioServices role ensures all operational activities are executed accurately and timely, following specific procedures and processes defined in work instructions created by Program Managers. The responsibilities of the Operations Manager - BioServices involves overseeing all projects performed in the BioServices area for multiple commercial and government clients and assembling various types of kits and label printing. These materials are stored at ambient (room temperature) to below freezing (including cryogenic) with potentially hazardous properties. This role will also require communicating with Program Managers, scheduling work and supervising staff, writing and updating SOPs, and other project-related activities.<div>
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to): 
<ul><li>Lead and direct the safety and quality of daily operations. Oversee all tasks on the floor including Inventory System operations; aid and troubleshoot discrepancies when required.</li><li>Coordinate with program managers, customer service, and logistic center to ensure on-time delivery of project work and deadlines.</li><li>Will effectively communicate to ensure all project related information is conveyed in a timely and comprehensive manner.</li><li>Ensure all activities follow health, safety, and environmental statutory, regulatory, and company regulations.</li><li>Assure the on-time completion of document review (batch records, receipts, shipment orders, daily routine tasks, inspections, and logbooks) for completeness and accuracy. We are seeking an experienced Manager of IT Infrastructure and Systems to lead the integration of complex Texas Heart Institute (THI) infrastructure and cybersecurity programs into existing Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) operations. This role will partner closely with THI stakeholders to assess technical requirements, ensure continuity of services, and guide the migration and consolidation of applications, servers, networks, telephony, and related systems into BCM’s environment.
 
Job Duties
 On behalf of two IT "Phase 2" projects, works with THI stakeholders to ensure all interests are accounted for and attended to as all user technologies and supporting systems/infrastructure are migrated to BCM technologies/systems. This may require working with 15+ BCM / THI technologists, professional services firm, Legacy THI stakeholders as well as Common Spirit (provides support to some existing THI technologies).
 Oversees the transition of all clinical and research security controls into BCM’s cybersecurity framework, ensuring full alignment with institutional standards.
 Identifies and prioritizes risks, develops and harmonizes GRC controls, and advances SecOps practices in coordination with BCM’s Managed Security Services team.
 Understands how tech is implemented and used and ensures proper controls are established to ensure continued regulatory compliance when fully migrated to BCM operations.
 As systems migrate, orchestrates handling of security controls with BCM Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) which monitors all BCM systems for threats/attacks which are detected.

<ul><li>Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy. Reviews and complies with the Walgreen Co. Pharmacy Code of Conduct.</li>
<li>Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including utilizing pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring information is entered correctly, filling prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions. Assists pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining work flow.</li>
<li>Reports, immediately, prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.</li>
<li>Strictly adheres to the Walgreen Co. policy regarding Good Faith Dispensing during all applicable prescription dispensing activities.</li>
<li>Responsible and accountable for registering all related sales on assigned cash register, collects and handles cash as required. Takes customer to OTC aisle when possible to assist in locating products.</li>
<li>Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.</li>
<li>Processes (corrects and resubmits) manual claims for third party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner, and performs other clerical duties, as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.</li>
<li>Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as, ordering, unpacking, checking and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of Company asset protection techniques, and files claims for warehouse overages (merchandise received, but not billed), shortages (merchandise billed, but not received), order errors or damaged goods involving Rx drugs.</li>
<li>May assist pharmacist in administering clinical services including the collection and proper labeling of blood/urine samples from patients and other clinical services as required; assists pharmacy staff in coordination of clinical services, Walgreens healthcare clinics and external providers.</li>
<li>Assists Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in developing and maintaining good relationships with the local medical community, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers, by medical provider detailing and outreach to health groups, retirement homes, nursing homes, and other forums for enhancing growth opportunities.</li>
<li>Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring the Pharmacy Department is stocked with adequate supplies, clean, neat and orderly in condition and appearance.</li>

</ul>Training &amp; Personal Development
