Assistant Community Manager

<div><div>As part of the Buildings team for Garver, this <b>Structural Team Lead </b>will be responsible for overseeing structural projects from inception, through design, for various projects within the <b>Buildings Business Line</b>.</div>
<div></div><div>The responsibilities for this role will include:</div>
<ul><li>Building and leading a structural engineering team that supports architectural clients.</li>
<li>Providing engineering support for architectural clients.</li>
<li>Managing projects and providing design support.</li>
</ul><div>In addition, this role will include coordination with other internal teams across Garver&rsquo;s regional footprint. Travel will be required depending on client and project location.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Abilities and attributes needed for this position:</b></div>
<ul><li>Structural design experience related to buildings.</li>
<li>Experience working directly for architectural clients and managing the structural engineering aspects of a building design project.</li>
<li>Experience in client relations and project pursuits.</li>
<li>Knowledge of building components and systems.</li>
<li>Utilizing BIM design software to produce construction drawings.</li>
<li>Manage multiple assignments concurrently.</li>
<li>Be responsible for time management and product quality.</li>
<li>Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects.</li>
<li>Develop and follow Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans.</li>
<li>Be responsible for continuing education and learning based on project needs, as well as the overall needs of the team.</li>
</ul><div><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></div>
<ul><li>Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing.</li>
<li>Perform construction administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, conducting site observations, and preparing reports.</li>
<li>Utilize BIM design software to produce structural drawings.</li>
<li>Coordinate with other disciplines.</li>
<li>Assist project managers and follow QA/QC plans.</li>
<li>Manage multiple assignments concurrently.</li>
<li>Continue education and learning based on project and team needs.</li>
<li>Mentor and train less experienced staff.</li>
<li>Assign and coordinate tasks with engineers-in-training and BIM professionals.</li>
<li>Collaborate with architects and contractors.</li>
</ul><div><b>Requirements</b></div>
<ul><li>Minimum of 10 years of professional structural engineering experience.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of US building codes and structural design standards.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.</li>
<li>Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas or ability to obtain licensure in Texas within 3 months of joining Garver.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of structural engineering principles.</li>
<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Self-motivated and a good team player.</li>
</ul><div><b>Preferred Requirements and Skills</b></div>
<ul><li>Master&rsquo;s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering with a structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited institution.</li>
<li>Proficient with Bentley RAM Structural System and RAM Elements.</li>
<li>Experience with Autodesk Revit and Construction Cloud.</li>
<li>Proficiency with MS Office Suite.</li>
<li>Experience with AIA MasterSpec.</li>
